Hey everyone! Thank you all for supporting this idea.
We agree that having the ability to set a default due date would bring efficiency and consistency to your workflow.
I'm thrilled to announce that we’ve started active work on this feature.
While we can't share a specific release date, please know that our product team is dedicated to building a solution that addresses the pain points you've raised.
We appreciate all of your valuable contributions to improving Xero. We'll post another update here as soon as we have more news to share. 😊

Hi everyone, thanks for all of your valuable feedback on this idea. The number of detailed comments clearly show how important this feature is for many of you.
We also agree that this would add significant value to Xero Expenses. That’s why we’re pleased to update the status of this idea to Accepted. This means we have reviewed your feedback and it aligns with our product vision.
While it is a feature we’d like to build, it’s not currently on our roadmap, so we can't provide a delivery timeframe just yet. We will share another update on this thread as soon as we have more news.

Hi everyone, thanks for all your feedback. We understand how important customisable payroll access is for many of our customers to effectively run their business. As you may have seen in other parts of Xero (like inventory & reporting) we’re beginning to develop more granular controls for permissions in some areas.
While we’ll continue to consider how we develop access to other features across Xero, we want to be upfront here that we don’t have any plans for providing the ability to disable access to timesheets or leave through the Xero Me app.
With this in mind, we’ll move this idea to Not in pipeline. You’ll see there are other ideas surrounding Payroll permissions that may solve for what you’d be after in this idea, and I’d recommend adding your vote to those so we can share if there’s any progress toward that functionality as we keep developing.

This is vital to be able to enable / disable features from the Xero Me app. In our case our leave and timesheets are handles elsewhere. (although we may now use leave on xero as they are now "working" on improving the options for the leave cycles.).
Surely an easy fix to just disable the ability for people to use certain features and hide it from sight.

This is really important for any consultancy that has differing chargeable rates for each members of the team.
Currently we create a task for each person to assign hours to.
Instead it would be good to have tasks that just say for example...
Stage 1 - Background Research & Inception
Stage 2 - Work up
Stage 3 - etc...
Staff can then log time against the relevant Stage and invoices are generated using the relevant staff billing rate!

Just made the switch and cannot believe that Xero doesn't have this set as a basic feature.
There is so much in Xero that is lacking compared to our former accountancy package!
