Hi community, we appreciate everyone's engagement here. To confirm we have intentions of developing the purchase order experience, however developing Projects into this does have some complexities and requires work across both purchase orders and projects to deliver.
Right now our initial focus is releasing the new purchase order experience to all users.
While we don't have a timeframe for assigning PO's to Projects at this stage, this is top of our product teams radar and we'll communicate here as soon as there's an update.

Hi Cody, thanks for sharing such detailed feedback on progressive billing for fixed-price tasks. It’s really helpful to hear how this could support projects that run across multiple stages.
We’ve reviewed your idea and moved it to Gaining support, so it’s now open for votes and comments from the wider community. If others have similar experiences with fixed-price project billing, we’d love for them to add their voice — it helps show how broad the need is and gives the product team clearer context.
Thanks again for raising this, and we’ll keep you posted on any progress.

Hi Tom and John, not a direct drag & drop to a widget on the homepage, however from the 'Bills to pay' widget you can click Add bill > Upload bills which will direct you to Bills and pre-open the upload modal. 🙂
This isn't something we have direct plans of right now, but will get a feel of the interest from the community for the idea here.
It'd be good to track interest in this feature for Bills and Expenses separately as widget enhancements would typically be reviewed individually. I've created a new idea for this in Expenses and added you both to this for any updates.

Thanks for the response Kelly. It always feels like a lot of clicks to simply drop a bill into Xero, if it could be direct off the homepage this would be much more user friendly.

Hi team, pleased to share that this is a feature that will be coming with the new Xero Homepage! Once released it will be an option available from the bill drop down within the Bills to pay widget 😊. I'll round back to share as it becomes available in orgs.
If you'd like to get more understanding of the new homepage and navigation visit our website and try out the prototype!

I too would like to see this feature. However, a simple option for us would be able to invoice a percentage of a task - and consequently have multiple invoices to one task in Projects. As the OP says, presently we have had to create multiple versions of the same stage, e.g. "Stage 4 (Month 1)", "Stage 4 (Month 2)", etc. Which then makes reporting difficult and more admin heavy.
