Appreciate you sharing back in ideas with us here. IRD requirement changes mean that the IR833 form can’t be filed as a standalone return and must be sent as an attachment to a tax return. Only one form can be attached per return.

Right now, your current options are to request documents and information from your clients using the existing queries feature in Workpapers. We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback.
While we don't have this feature on our current roadmap, we'll continue to monitor this request, and make sure to keep you updated if there's any progress.

Hi everyone, we're pleased to share new Xero Workpapers that'll be coming soon and encompasses many features we know our customers have desired.
With our new solution collaboration on year-end and compliance tasks will be much smoother - You'll be able to upload documents directly to the specific items you need to review, meaning you no longer have to wonder which email a document should be attached to.
When you need a document, like a bank statement or an invoice, we'll send you a secure query, so you can log into a simple portal, see exactly what we need, and upload the file right there. We'll automatically attach your document to the correct line item, creating a clear and organised record for review and audit purposes.
We're just starting release of this to Australia, and will keep everyone updated as this increases here. For now, you can read more about…

Hi everyone, we appreciate that as eInvoicing is adopted by more regions and businesses the appetite for supporting eInvoicing across more of Xero’s features is growing.
Over the coming months our product team will be looking into updates to Xero’s repeat invoices templates and support for eInvoicing within these is something that's on our teams radar. When we get to picking this up and being able to explore this deeper, we’ll keep you updated and share if there are any opportunities to bring you into our discovery.

Hi team, we appreciate your feedback and understand the importance of having decimal places visible in workpapers especially for tasks that require a high level of detail. I'm pleased to let you know that our product teams have paid close attention to the idea from our community here as they develop our new Workpapers solution, where all workpapers in the new solution will show 2 decimal places.
For those of you using the existing Workpapers solution, there's no immediate change. You can continue with your current workflow. Once the new solution becomes available, we'll share more information on how to access it.
We're beginning to roll this out to Partners starting with Australia, and will be expanding to other regions in early 2026.

I'm excited to share a major update that addresses this feedback directly. At Xerocon in September 2025, we announced a new strategic partnership with BGL, a leader in compliance and practice software. Together, we are building a new, deeply integrated Workpapers solution that will be embedded directly within Xero Practice Manager (XPM) and Xero Tax. This new solution is central to our compliance and practice tools roadmap and is designed to provide a seamless experience, leveraging BGL’s expertise in document management. We are pleased to confirm that the ability to add, rename, and reorder supporting documents is a key feature of this new BGL-powered Workpapers solution.
