It would be good to see the software people at Xero adding the additional functionality as soon as possible. Xero already has purchase orders so why no sales orders

The sales order function should be a standard feature in Xero. Its a little frustrating that it's not.

A sales order function would also need to allow for partial shipments and calculate a balance to ship

I would like to be able to manage customer sales orders separately from customer quotes and invoices. It would also be good to be able to manage partial deliveries through to invoices

Hey team 😊 happy to come back to share that this work is now underway with our product team as they begin development for managing files within Xero Payroll.
We really value the feedback we've received from you all in this idea, which has helped inform our teams approach to developing a solution that will fit majority of needs.
I'll return to share as we get nearer to release with more information on what this looks like including where and how you'll be able to attach files in Payroll.

Hi everyone, development for being able to partially bill / part receive purchase orders is well underway. The intention is when you create a bill from a purchase order you'll be able to enter the amounts of each item you'd like to bill.
On your Approved purchase order you'll also be able to view amount of items Billed.
We look forward to updating you again as soon as this feature launches. 😁

Could XERO please be improved to allow for partial deliveries. It would be good to be able to confirm actual quantities received and show the balance outstanding

Over the last couple of years, I have made multiple suggestions on how xero can improve their product. All I receive back are these product idea emails and no progress. There should be a product development roadmap...
