Hi Jonathan! Thanks for sharing this great suggestion about allowing more flexible date formats in Xero. We can see how being able to type a date in different formats (like dd/mm/yyyy) would be a much quicker and more intuitive experience for many, and acknowledge that this functionality is available within other areas of Xero.
We've also added the supporters of this idea to these two similar ideas; New invoicing and Fixed Assets.🙂

Hi everyone, thanks for your feedback and detail of why searching b y serial # would be of use. We understand how this'd be beneficial when you have multiple of the same asset being registered.
At this time, as with a few parts of Xero our product team in the Fixed Assets space are focused on updating some core Fixed Assets technology to provide future capability and a consistent look and feel to what you've begun seeing in other parts of Xero like reports, and invoicing.
We'll keep watching the support for ideas closely and share any updates with you all.

Hi team, thanks for continuing to share feedback on this idea.
We understand that customers have different needs when working in Xero, and we’re continuing to keep accessibility options, including keyboard navigation, front of mind as we develop.
In new invoicing, you can use Tab to move through all invoice fields and actions, including Save and Approve. We’ve also added keyboard shortcuts for key actions, which you can learn about in-product or in our Tips and shortcuts article.
For bills, our newer quick view tool (eye icon) uses a similar line item design to invoices, and Tab navigation is available there as well.
This will be especially helpful if you’re using connected apps, or the upload to bills or email to bills features, to automatically create transactions.
We appreciate this still leaves a gap if you manually enter new bills, and we’ll continue monitoring interest here and share any…
