Hi Michelle thanks for sharing this with us here, can appreciate having the ability to itemise the bills on upload instead of just the one line. Currently this is possible via Hubdoc, you can read more about it here. We recommend raising a case with our support team for more details.

I think this is a great idea but having a drop down list we can edit if you just leave it up to a free text field it wont get completed or you wont have the available data to full any insights out

Is this being addressed in any upcoming releases ? you can do it for invoices but not quotes and often the quote arent even getting to clients when sent or land in junk and missed

Xero surely this is a easy feature to introduce given we can do it for invoices even without templated SMS and we have to free type for now just get it released

Thanks for sharing how you'd like to see the recent feature we've introduced in invoices expanded to quotes, Jonathan. Understand wanting more control and professionalism of transactions you're sending from Xero.
We'll be sure to share if there are plans made to implement this feature for quotes too.

We understand that when an invoice is paid through multiple part-payments—for example, a deposit followed by the remaining balance—you would like to send your customer one receipt for the full invoice once it has been paid in full, rather than sending a separate receipt for each payment. We’ve captured your feedback for consideration. If this would also be useful for your business, please vote for the idea and add a comment explaining how you currently manage multiple-payment invoices. This will help demonstrate the need for the improvement.

Much better to just allow users to select their preferences for example I have short mainly single line items so having the buttons at the top much faster but larger companies with bulk items require at bottom. allow users to apply action button settings themselves

Hi community, thank you for feeding back about how a paid-invoice notification could reduce manual checking and follow-ups, as well as help you move orders forward once payment is received.
Our teams have done some initial discovery and are looking more broadly at our notifications framework across Xero.
To be transparent here - a notification specifically for when an invoice is paid isn’t in our near term plans at this stage, but we’ll share an update if there’s meaningful progress as notifications continue to evolve.

Hi everyone, thanks for continuing to share the details behind your workflows here. We wanted to return with a meaningful step forward for this idea. As some users may have seen, we’ve released the ability to request a Deposit in Xero!
Enveloped in this we recently made an improvement to this so businesses can now set a specific due date when creating a new deposit, and that due date is shown clearly on the deposit request your customer receives.
We appreciate this doesn’t yet deliver the fuller outcome many of you describe here, such as multiple due dates across a full invoice, broader instalment-style payment schedules, or trade-term arrangements on a single invoice. But it's progress in this space.
I’ll be back to confirm once Deposits is completely released to all markets and share how we plan to evolve this further.

Hi everyone, we understand how frustrating it is when important emails like invoices are filtered or blocked, and how this affects customer trust and timeliness of engagement with your transactional communications. Thank you for continuing to share examples and highlighting the impact this has on your business.
We’ve made meaningful progress towards enabling email sending from your own domain. While progress is taking longer than we’d like, we can confirm that substantial backend work is underway. This work spans multiple interdependent teams across Xero, and there are still important steps we need to work through before we can release the capability to customers reliably.
As we continue to develop this capability, there are a few questions that would help our product teams ensure we’re solving the majority of our users’ needs in this space, with a reliable and secure solution.

Hi community, we understand how being able to send quote reminders like you can for invoices, would help with following up on uncommitted work with your customers and potentially locking in sales.
For the time being, as many will be aware you can resend a quote that’s already been sent, by clicking the 3 dot menu in the top right and choosing ‘Send’, where you’ll have the option to change the email and who it’s being addressed to.
This is something we have intentions of diving into discovery for this year and I’ll return to share more news when things progress. Thanks

Thanks everyone for your feedback here on customising SMS messages for invoices. We understand how a more personal message could provide customers with greater confidence and context when receiving an invoice.
Our product team has explored options for more customised messaging, including the practical constraints around character limits and preventing messages from being treated as spam.
After that review, we want to be transparent that editable SMS templates aren’t part of our plans at this stage.

Hey Dean thanks for bringing this Idea to us, we always appreciate our customers thoughts on how we can improve Xero! This Idea has been moved to Gaining Support so others can vote and comment on this. We also wanted to let you know that there is a work around for tis idea, you can create a draft quote with all the relevant details and use that as a base to 'copy to' to reduce the time spent filling out the same details. Don't forget to let you friends and colleagues know they can vote on this idea now 🙂.

I think show remaining or unbalanced amount at the bottom with total is a better option if your entering multiple line items youd just have to change it each time
