Joblogic integration - Selections for invoice status
When syncing invoices from Joblogic to Xero, they post straight to approved status - can a feature be added so they can be posted to 'awaiting approval' to avoid dating errors on the invoices?
Thank you
1 voteHi Parris, many of our applications have designed and built their integration with Xero themselves. They are best placed to engage with on any changes you feel could enhance your experience when integrating data from their application to Xero.

Fixed asset - Increase limit of 500
existing threshold for Xero fixed assets is 500 - increase this to 5,000 to avoid having to use a separate app (which are clunky / expensive) to manage fixed assets

Bank Reconciliation - Filter transactions in 'Find and Match'
The recently added filter functionality on bank reconciliation was not what I was hoping for. Rather than filtering bank statement lines I want to be able to filter the transactions that I’m matching to it, by date.
When reconciling POS device daily receipts I can already filter for transactions with the right description but then I have to tick every transaction for the corresponding day. Then repeat for every day. If I could filter on date I could “select all” and match much more quickly. It’s currently extremely tedious!

Dashboard: Account watchlist - ability to only show accounts with balance not 0
It would be great to be able to limit the accounts that show based on whether they have a value that is not 0. This would be useful for PAYG Payable, Superannuation Payable, Suspense accounts etc.
Instead of a long list of accounts with 0 balances, it would allow the user to only see the account that have a value.

Reporting - Option to extract transaction details without subtotals and formatting to support pivot analysis
Most often when I extract XERO finance reports I have to strip out all of the headings and totals in order to get to the raw transaction data for further pivot analysis and data refinement. Having a raw data dump (i.e., excel or csv format) as an option to the formatted files would save considerable time for users doing pivot analysis, multi period or year comparisons, adding calculations and additional columns, preparing charts, and just trying to summarize the data in a different way.

Invoices - Ability to batch print packing slips
Batch print packing slip
We are able to batch print invoices through the awaiting payment page, but having the ability to batch print packing slips would be great. Having to click in and out of invoices to print the packing slip for multiple entries daily takes quite a bit of time. Can this feature be added?

Xero Accounting app - GST
It would be good if we could do the gst on the mobile app instead of having to log into the desktop site.
4 votesHi Troy, when you say do the GST are there any specific actions that you'd find most handy to be able to do from the app? E.g publish or export a return, file GST with IR, edit GST Details
While we don't have any plans for this atm, it'd be good to get more detail to be able to share back with our team on this.

Fixed Assets - Partial or Bulk Sale
Enable partial sale of assets - allows one to dispose of assets that have been added as one transaction.
Enable bulk sale of assets - allowing one to select all assets involved within a sale to be sold for one purchase price i.e. sale of a fitout of a Hairdresser, over the years they had purchased numerous items and completed numerous renovations.

Search bar navigation
Many of my clients complain that they 'can't find what they are looking for' when using the top search bar facility. I too often struggle to find things unless I am specific and know the exact detail of a posting. A search return of more options would be very beneficial listing all transactions in relation to any word or value typed into the search bar.
6 votesHi team, appreciate the continued engagement in the idea here, apologies I've not returned to update before now.
I want to be upfront that we don't have any plans for changing the logic of search results in the near term. However, I felt it might help to explain how this is working at present to understand results you may be seeing - Global search considers several factors in deciding which results to display, and in what order. These factors include, but aren't limited to:
- Document type – Document types searched most often get priority in the order of the search results. Contacts and invoices appear at the top of the results, as they’re the most popular search.
- Term frequency – The frequency the term you search for appears in the document.

Account Watchlist - Display a custom budget on accounts watchlist
On the Account Watchlist in the Dashboard, I would like to display a custom budget that I created for 2024 in lieu of the default 'overall budget' that it shows. Please make this feature possible as it will provide a good, quick snapshot on how we're trending to budget w/out having to pull up reports. An alternative would be to tag a custom budget as the 'default' that would appear in the accounts watchlist. Regardless, let's make this happen! Thanks for considering.

Batch Payment - Increase detail field
It's very known for all that the space for batch payment details is very tie.
We hope from XERO staff to expand this space at least five times. to enable us write down whatever we should fill.

Reinstate NZ Annual Report template avaiability to non-partner users
Reinstate access to NZ Annual Report template for non-partner small business users. The NZ Annual Report template has been available to non-partner users for at least the last six years but has now been removed from the reporting templates available to non-partner users. For small businesses that prepare their own accounts the Annual Report template was very useful and time saving. Making it unavailable only has the effect of making us spend a heap of time re-building it outside of Xero or forcing us to waste money paying an accountant to do something Xero has previously enabled us to easily…
3 votesAppreciate the use you found in the older Annual report pack, Antony. We want to be upfront that we don't have any plans in the near term for developing this same pack in the newer reports. However, right now you'll find you can use the Management report pack, where you'll be able to add reports as you need into this, alternatively you could create your own report pack from scratch(this is available from the Search in the reports centre).
Understand not everyone feels the need to have an advisor but for others coming across that would like a bit more help with this sort of reports preparation you can find an advisor through the Xero advisor directory.

Reporting - Add 'Add Page Break' on 'Insert Content' drop down
Please add the ability to be able to add a page break from the 'insert content' drop down in draft reports, rather than having to go into 'edit layout to do this.
Currently the only option on this 'insert content' drop down is to 'add text block'
1 voteAppreciate you raising this with us, Natascha. Being completely open, having checked in with our product team while it might be something we revisit further down the track, we don't have any plans for enabling adding of page breaks from the Insert Content drop down in the near term. We'll shift the status to Not planned so others seeing can also understand.

UK VAT - VAT calculations to 3 decimal points.
Xero calculates VAT on a line by line basis and rounds up at every instance. This leads to the VAT amount sometimes being more than a few pennies over the top of what it should be.
I propose that Xero calculates VAT to 3 decimal places, which will mostly eliminate this over payment to the VAT man and overcharging our customers. Or it only calculates VAT at the end of the invoice.

Reporting - Monthly and Annually Recurring Payments to Suppliers
Please explore the possibility of generating a report that efficiently and clearly captures Recurring Payments made to any contact or supplier with either monthly or yearly frequency?
Currently, this is not achievable without significant manual effort to extract data from various reports in Xero. While I’m aware that the "Repeating Bill Payment" feature setup can also aid with producing a report of this nature, most clients do not use this setup, and the information isn't sufficient.
Payments have been processed in Xero through various methods, including bills, direct debits, and spend money transactions. The desired report should be able to…

Reporting - Distinguish between 0.00 and nil balance accounts
On balance sheets or profit and loss reports. It would be amazing if there was a distinction between accounts that have nothing in them (e.g. -) and accounts that have a nil balance (e.g. 0). They currently have the same icon (-). Having different icons would make it easier to distinguish without having to click into the account.

Account transactions - Common date for 'last week'
An option to set the date range to "last week" from the date range pull down options in account transactions reports.
Being able to create custom account transactions reports set to "last week" would be invaluable for our weekly reporting, avoiding fiddly changes to the date range each week when pulling a number of reports, and preventing any dating errors.
It would be a great advantage.
Should be an easy to add that option to Xero, I would have thought.
And it is a common option (e.g. GoCardless has it.)

Fixed Assets - Add accumulated depreciation to new assets
When a revalued asset is created (e.g. roads in a local government authority), it is essential that a revalued accumulated depreciation is also able to be added at the same time. This is a basic accounting requirement for councils when they revalue their various infrastructure assets.
