  1. Payment processing - when we make a bulk payment on the bills screen they should be sent to a separate tab so that its easy to see when payments are being processed. This would remove the risk of duplication of accidentally processing bulk payments twice.

  2. Add a send remittance button once a payment is made via the new Direct Bank Transfer Feature.

    I previousley made batch payments via Wise and once the payments went through there was a button to send remittances. This feature is not available when using the new Direct Bank Transfer option. You have to maunally send each remittance advice from the banking screen which is a poor use of time and there is the chance that a remittance advise will be missed or sent twice.

  4. We need more flexibility in depreciation schedules to add Second Hand Capital Works Assets for rental properties.
    When you buy a second hand rental property, the capital allowances available under Div 43 needs to be calculated on the original cost, however, the total amount remaining to be claimed will be less than this original amount. Fixed Assets in Xero does not currently allow for this. We need to calculate the depreciation on a straight line basis based on the original cost, not what we paid for it and we need to be able to include an opening written down value,…

  5. In the batch payment transaction screen you have the individual supplier name, bill reference, due date and payment amount but it would be helpful to have the bill date as well

Currently, all our tracking categories are available to those entering expenses, however, the majority are not relevant to expenses (although they are required for invoicing so we cannot remove them from the list). We would like to be able to chose which items in the categories are available and which are not, just like we are able to with the GL accounts.

    As you're aware, currently there isn't a restriction on which tracking options you can select when you're entering transactions and expense claims.

  7. I currently use Xero Files to store documents. Most of the documents are PDF's but some are Excel spreadsheets. Unfortunately, Xero Files doesn't recognise duplicate documents so, when uploading to Xero, it's necessary to compare the Xero file with my personal file in order to determine which documents need to be uploaded. It would be good if Xero Files recognised duplicates so all documents could be selected for upload with Xero simply flagging the duplicates with an option to either "skip" or to "skip all".

  8. I think the idea of Xero Projects is great. However, it requires a lot of hand-holding and reentering information to go through a project life cycle.

    Here are my top 10 improvements I think would make a FAR smoother experience.

    1. Pull through items quoted into the project as tasks once 'started'. This should be a bare minimum. At the moment tasks have to be manually added to any project.

    2. Push the project title into the reference tag so it displays in the Xero invoice list (otherwise there is no high-level description of what the job is for an invoice). Or…

    That's a few points you've listed, Nicholas. Sorry it's taken a while to respond to you here, and do appreciate the feedback.

    It's best for each point you've raised to be recorded as separate ideas so the community know what they're voting for, we can get a clear sense of interest in what customers are wanting to see, and we can keep you updated if a particular idea progresses.

    We have a few ideas that have been started and appear to relate to things you'd like to see too, I've adjusted the title of your idea here to represent your point on adding the project title to the Quote reference but for the others I'd recommend starting new ideas for each of these so we can start to track the interest from the community.

  9. I note there are repeating (aka recurring) invoices and bills.
    I would like repeating quotes as well because every year, we issue a quote to some of our clients for maintenance agreements or hosting agreements. It is basically the same quote every year except that the amounts are adjusted for CPI

  10. Expenses, the Categories field should be wide enough to display the text on the website. Note that the mobile app works fine.
    Or there should be the ability to nest categories.
    As a web developer, widening the Categories field should be trivial. Apparently not according to Xero support....

    Having the Ability to do all things in one app without intergration would be ideal and more cost effective and productive.

  12. Enable tax AMOUNT instead of the rigid tax rate in Bills.

    If you consider a Zoom phone bill, there are 3 different taxes that apply to the bill (1 Federal + 2 City). Tax rates simply DON'T WORK, Xero is too rigid.

    Why not offer a simple tax AMOUNT box where we can type a USD amount, instead of forcing some tax rate?

    And it's exactly the same for INVOICES.
    The ability to set a tax AMOUNT rather than a tax rate is indispensable.

  13. In Australia, users need to be able to manually edit the amount of GST paid on a transaction. This is required because certain transactions (particularly grocery and pharmacy transactions) have a mixture of items, some of which have GST applied, and some that do not. Unfortunately, the receipts for these types of transactions do not indicate which specific items have incurred GST - they just have a total amount of GST paid on that receipt. As such, it would be great if users could just override the total amount of GST paid for those receipts. See attached for an example…

  14. A few things I've noticed that annoy me that I think could be tweaked;

    • Duplicate bills screen is a complete waste of time in its current state. Either change the parameters for what flags as a duplicate (ie - if it's the same amount, it should also be the same date, or check for duplicate reference numbers attached to the same supplier). Also give the option to ignore all duplicates from certain suppliers or if something appears, an option to never remind for this supplier & amount again.
      Also there's a button to provide feedback that doesn't work.

    Hi Zachary, appreciate you sharing your feedback on how you'd find Xero even more powerful for your business.

    Being upfront we don't typically develop integrations ourselves. However we have a Developer Centre where interested parties can get information if they'd like to develop an integration with Xero.

  17. EMAIL DESCRIPTION OF INVOICE-SHOW GST INCLUSIVE PRICE-When selected "Include action to online and detail summary" for the email template, the email that is sent shows a description of the attachment (invoice) in the body of the email, but it has each item GST EXEMPT then the GST is listed at very bottom. It iss very confusing for some customers.

Hi, I would love the ability to select one of our bank accounts or credit cards on the awaiting payments screen for each bill. i can select the planned date however this only tells me when it is going to be paid and it would be useful for planning if i was able to select for example the credit card it is DD from or bank account to aid in budgeting and cashflow.
