  1. Hi there, we have a suggestion that would help us a lot as we have a lot of tracking categories. Could Xero add a fixed top menu and side menu so that when we scroll up and down we can still see the tracking categories and also what it relates to. Basically freeze the left column with headings and freeze the top column with headings.

    Hi team, with no response we're going to guess this is within reports. If so, with Xero reports you'll find the top row and left column- are now 'sticky', so you can see the headings when scrolling beyond where they'd be displayed. 🙂

  2. When sending an invoice from a mobile device, remove the “send me a copy” button, or at least let us make a one time adjustment to stop having to turn it off every single time.

    Appreciate letting us know how we could improve your flow when working from the Xero Accounting app, Joshua. Our team have just released a change for iOS to align with the Android behaviour.

    Now, when you send an invoice or a quote, the 'Send me a copy' field will be unchecked by default.🙂

  3. To have a report for NET Sales for a month. Currently there is a report that only shows what's payable with VAT (not all sales are vatable) so, when trying to reconcile with the in-house ordering program it becomes a whole big xcel spreadsheet exercise...... takes to much time. the report also includes Prepayments which are not goods sold, but money transactions in advance

  4. When reconciling a transaction the default tax rate should be per the Supplier settings if set up in the Supplier. It is the Supplier who is GST registered or not. Currently a non GST registered Supplier may come up with NO GST, however if you change the account code you are posting the transaction to it will change the tax to be inclusive of GST if that expense would normally include GST. Supplier status should always override account code status, otherwise if not picked up and corrected leads to inaccurate GST returns.

    Hey community, 👋 thanks for all your support on this idea, I'm popping in to switch it across to delivered! We rolled out support for maintaining the suppliers default tax rate when the account code is changed 🎉

    If the account code changes, the default tax rate will not change unless the tax rate is not compatible with the new account code selected.

  5. The buttons linking to detailed reports from the project profitability tab don't go to the place they claim. They just take you to a blank report view. Very useless and pretty annoying.     Hi all, leading on from our last update we're going to move this idea to 'Delivered' with the change the team made to Projects in August last year (apologies for the late update here!) You'll now find that all the reports on the profitability tab take you to the report, filtered to the project you were on 🌟

  6. Not quite sure if this is applicable here, but it would be good if there was a newsletter of sorts to announce any new apps that is released on the Xero App Store. It'll be good if there was a update of sorts whenever a new integration for Xero was released, especially for clients who're still looking for the right app to sign up for.

    Like your thinking in how we could better surface apps that could help your clients needs. You may have seen that we've made a few updates to our App you now have options to Discover and select New and Noteworthy integrations 😁

  7. On the newly rolled out quote form, have the ability to change the default 'Send me a copy' when emailing the quote.
    Why would I want to send myself a copy when I have all my quotes available to me directly through Xero?!

    The 'send me a copy' field remembers the last setting used. So, if you untick this for one, it should default to unticked for the next one and following ✅ 

  8. It would be great if you could add a "New Item" when you first create a transaction. At the moment, you have to save and close the transaction, go back to it and "edit" then you can see +New Item at the top of the Item column. It would be a great improvement to workflow if you could do this straight away and if anyone like me has new items each week it would save some time. Thanks.

    Hi community, this is possible via the use of Lock Dates in the organisations  Financial Settings.

    You have two optional date settings:

    1. One date that applies to all users except Advisers
    2. A date that applies to All users, including Advisers

    These prevent the relevant users from adding or making changes before these dates.

    Hi community, this is possible for invoices with the use of the discounts column where you'd only enter a discount for particular line items. With new invoicing you'll have the option to enter a discount as either a % or amount. 

    Alternatively if you'd just like Xero to calculate the unit price and not need this shown you could use Xero's inbuilt calculator to enter an equation that'll automatically calculate the price for you based on a given amount. 

    We have a separate thread going for the ability to add discounts to bills (accounts payable invoices) that some of you may like to join for any updates. 

  12. When previewing the attachments / supporting documents, it would be great to be able to move the preview onto a different screen so can more easily mark of items as correct as reviewer, without having to download/ open.

  13. Auto create entries for items included in “Amounts the Tax Offices owes you” and under the accounts of PAYGW, GST and PAYG, when an activity statement is created in Xero.

    Hi everyone, roll out for this release has begun and will ramp up really quickly so you should all have it within the next couple of days. 😊

    We've released a new feature that allows you to easily create a draft bill or invoice directly from the BAS (Business Activity Statement) statement page after finalising or filing it for the period.

    The created transaction will be pre-populated with most of the required details such as contact details, account, amount, and description, for you to review and approve. You'll be able to view the transaction directly from the BAS return, or through Invoice and Bills. 🎉

  15. Not sure if this feature is already coming but would be great to be able to use a custom date range in the Business Snapshot reporting. We have clients who run on a 4-4-5 basis so would be great to be able to produce the report for their accounting period.

    To use custom date ranges, and get access to more advanced features, you can upgrade to Xero Analytics Plus. 

    You can do this either by upgrading your subscription to the Ultimate plan, or by selecting it as an add-on.

  16. Ability to filter and view results in the Project Reports by date on the transaction, rather than the date it was entered in Xero

    Purpose: Understand total costs assigned to a project/all projects at a certain point in time.

    Our Customer Invoice Activity report can now be filtered to include only certain transactions types 🎉 To show just the invoices and payments, you can filter the Source by Receivable Invoices and Receivable Payments.

  19. Ability to alert a user when there’s duplicate invoices references when they’re about to approve it.

    Our duplicate bills detection is now live! 🥳Xero will compare the contact, reference and amount of bills and credit notes to identify and help you review possible duplicates.

    Where duplicates are picked up you'll see a banner above the bills list where you can click to review, this option is also available from the 3 dot menu in the top left of the list.

    From the review page you'll be able to take action on any unpaid bills. See more on this feature in Xero Central.
