  1. When operating tracking income and expenses in two areas, payroll allows for the primary tracking category when setting up the employee and the time sheet allows the secondary tracking option to be selected.

    Currently the timesheet option only allows for the 'hours worked' to be allocated to the secondary tracking option. Any allowance can only be added at the pay run which means it cannot be added to the secondary tracking category.

    Can we have the ability to add allowances as an option in the timesheet?

  2. Set a particular contact field (e.g. account number) as a mandatory field, so that an invoice cannot be issued without that field having been added to the customer account.

  3. It would be great to have read-only access to payroll - all of it - for auditors.
    They need access to the staff files, the individual transactions and the reports - as they have with the rest of the business.

  4. When looking at a customer's account in Contacts, there should be a spot in the invoices due that shows clearly if there is an unallocated overpayment, prepayment or Credit at a glance.

    There also needs to be a better report just for unallocated Prepayments, Credits and Overpayments.

    I find the Receivable Invoice Summary isn't wait I'm looking for as it doesn't fulfil the job required.

  5. Overpayments should appear in the Find & Match for Customers.
    If a customer pays their correct amount owing, but an overpayment on their account hasn't been allocated against an invoice, it is impossible to reconcile.
    Users have to go into Contacts, check if there is an overpayment, allocate the overpayment against an invoice then go back into the Bank Reconciliation page.
    Users should be able to tick the invoices being paid and the overpayment that was used to reconcile in Find & Match.

  6. Apparently this functionality is enabled on the AU payroll system, but not NZ!

    Essentially, it would be great if an employee's annual salary figure could be displayed on their payslips. Given that this is already an option within Xero Payroll for Australia, surely this is an easy addition for Xero Payroll for New Zealand.

  7. To allow a box on the dashboard to show a running BAS/PAYG/GST total so we can get an idea of where are finances are up to coming up to these payment deadlines. Would be helpful for small business.

  9. Invoices list - allow the user to select the invoice fields that they want to see on the Invoices list. Eg. we can search/view by Contact, but not by Tracking Category, which would be very useful.

  10. To request with Xero to add in Debit Note feature, which it is issued by buyer/ purchaser to the seller where under this circumstance a debit note is given by the buyer/purchaser to the seller to reduce the total value of the bills/invoices.

    Currently, only supplier can issue credit note, but as buyer in Xero can't really generate debit note if encounter return of stock/reduce total value of purchase invoices & etc

  11. Why is it that customers address details are not shown on the invoice and quotation listings. this is causing time issue problems
    These were shown in the classic view in invoices but not in quotations
    I’m my mind this is a retrograde step and needs reviewing

    Hi all, appreciate the interest around this. Being able to view a contact's address would be built separately for invoices and quotes. 

    We have an existing idea for this in new invoicing that you may like to add your vote and join across here - you'll see this is something we're actively working on.

  12. It would be helpful to edit the layout of the Overview payroll dashboard, as you can do with the normal Xero accounting dashboard.

    I can't understand why the 'pay employees' widget is at the bottom, surely running payroll is the primary function so why isn't that at the top? Not all business use the leave and timesheet function, they should be considered secondary.

  13. Please automatically revert to the "Pay Employees" page after a payrun has been filed. At the moment after a payrun is filed with the ATO we are taken back to the "Post Payrun" / "File" page. You then have to click on "Close" to be taken to the "Pay Employees" page. Why the extra step?

  14. Payroll Overview Dashboard - Can you please make this editable so that it can be customised to what details we want to see at an easy glance? Also the Calendar populates all 'holidays/public holidays' regardless of what state/country you're in. This should be customisable so that you can opt to only have your relevant holidays shown.

  15. I would like to evaluate cash flow by project. To be able to see when cash was received and payments made for each project. It will be a useful tool to manage a project and decide when to invoice and to know when we are funding projects from our own cash. At present there isn't a report which I can run to see cash flow by project. Could you please consider building one. Thank you.

  17. You can upload your logo and it appears on your invoices. Great. But here is an easy win, replace the initials on the Menu drop down with the company logo too? It would just be a nice touch.

  18. I would like to export batch payments but instead of a summed up amount for a supplier I would like to have separated invoice line items.

    Eg, 5 invoices for OF should result in 5 lines on the CSV import for the bank instead of 1 line with the total.

  19. Pls can you consider providing an option to view all Debit balances as positive values and all Credit balances as negative values (in brackets) on the Chart of Accounts as well as accounts on the Dashboard?

    That way it's immediately obvious if a balance is owing TO the business or BY the business, without having to first determine if an acc is set up as an asset or a liability on the Chart of Accounts.

  20. We run a music festival of 10 concerts. Each concert is set up as a tracking category. It would be great to spread the direct and admin costs across evenly acoss all 10 concerts in a way that doesn't involve entering each invoice across 10 lines.
