  2. Another product idea to suggest is to have Account transactions report account code GST control account to also show the related account
    For example invoice number and invoice amount on how the tax amount derives from.

    Appreciate your feedback on the change from older reports to new. While we don't have any direct plans for making updates to the formatting of formulas when exporting to excel we have just made some updates to excel export of reports I wanted to highlight for you here, where we've;

    • Adjusted the default zoom from 150% to 100%, and slightly change the size of title and currency fonts to make the report easier to read
    • Made small changes to the formatting of cells in rows to create more consistency across the report

    We'll stay tuned into the support for other changes coming through the site here an let you know if there's any news on this, here.

  4. Xero Expenses - Can this screen be displayed, like Bills to Pay and with a freeze frame set at the top of the information, so 'New expense' stays put when scrolling?

It would be useful if Bank uncoded statement line report could also show outstanding payments & receipts. 9 times out of 10 an 'orange' transaction is a client error, duplicate transaction etc. Effectively this would be a complete list of bank items to be reconciled / fixed ( Ideally with the last month, quarter, financial year filter)

    1. Purchase orders reset to 'include GST' ever time you start a new PO. Why does it not just remember the last setting like invoicing does. (Or an option to lock it to a setting)

    2. Ability to add more information to invoices like customers phone number or email. It's an option. Saves warehouse staff or anyone having to look up the information. (At this time I use the country for the phone number and contact for the email)

  10. Currently the Account Transactions Report calculates Debits minus Credits which means a positive Running Balance shows in brackets and a negative Running Balance shows without brackets. This is totally contradictory to the usual accepted Accounting Rules. Can this be changed so that the Running Balance is calculated as CREDITS MINUS DEBITS please ?

  11. The bank transaction listing in Xero should have different details displayed for ease of reference.
    Batch Payment really doesn't provide enough information. "Payment: multiple items Batch Payment" is pretty vague. It would be better if the Description column showed the Details from the batch payment - refer attached

  13. We regularly use Tracking Categories to allocate bills to Projects. The Account Transactions report is great for showing bills and payments by Project. However, each line has to be individually accessed to see the underlying uploaded document.

    Accountants regularly ask for these receipts which need to be individually downloaded and we have to manually create a spreadsheet linking each receipt.

    This would be hugely easier if the Excel export of the report allowed a field for a URL linking to the uploaded document, like all good receipt tracking apps allow.

  14. We operate two Companies on Xero - the manufacturing company sells to the retail company - so we use the Xero to Xero function for this.
    I understand from the support articles that item codes are not transferred from Xero to Xero transactions. Is there any way to enable this, if we were to use the same item codes in each company? When the sales invoices are shared and received as draft purchase invoices the Item codes and COGS/expenses codes have to be re-entered - we would process about 500 per annum with up to 50 lines per invoice -…

  15. We've started using Projects and I've created a test project, sales and purchase invoice and have marked the sales invoice as paid.

    However the project summary report doesn't show that the client/sales invoice has been paid and this is so important for us to be able to plan our payment run for the direct costs relating to that client/project.

  16. Were clients have figures in the New Xero Cashflow report of $1,000,000 and $10,000,000. The cashflow can only handles this by reducing the months on the report. An Idea to get arround this would be to do what larger company's do in a prospectus. State in a subtitled that all figures are in millions and omit the last 3 zeros.

  18. New idea - In Reckon there is a little drop-down calculator you can use in the amounts field. So if for example you claim 60% business/40% personal for a vehicle expense, you can work it out in the box of a split transaction in the bookkeeping program rather than having to open a separate calculator. Likewise if you have a docket with both personal and business transactions on it, you can add them up within the transaction instead of opening a separate calculator.

Hi Community, we need to have the option to copy part of the invoice when we are doing it, and then, copy that on the same invoice we are working, many times we need to invoice the same things to the same client but separate it by levels or offices into the same invoice, we can save a lot of time with this function when we are writing a big invoice.
