User Roles - Overdue invoice only role
Hi,
I would like if Xero can provide an invoice user view only to look at the overdue invoices.
This idea came up because we have a requirement to give this access to the person we hired for invoice chasing.
We do not need to let him see previous invoices or give him access to create new invoices.

Conversion | Ability to enter outstanding invoices via Manual journals
When bringing a company on board, and you need past invoice history of the invoices outstanding, it would be far quicker to type them into the journal than to have to capture the document individually. it would be better to be able to do a journal for the AR and AP once you have captured the company. time does matter, and this method which is currently there is very time-consuming. Other accounting packages have this function and it would be nice to see it being done here for the Advisors.
2 votesAppreciate ease when coming across from another software. Conversion balances and the way Xero works is quite critical to how outstanding invoices and bills are entered.
Xero makes sure your accounts receivable and payable are in balance to the transactions that have been entered.
While we will track the interest around this here I do want to be upfront that we don't have any plans to change the way in which these are entered.

Check - Limit 'Check Style' Editing for Standard User Role
Any user with the 'Standard User Role' AKA the role with the least amount of permissions that can still access and perform bank reconciliation, has access to Setting>Check Styles which contains your bank account routing & account number, if you need to have that information printed onto blank check stock. This is a major security overlook. I do not want my employee that is helping with bank reconciliation to have access to my bank account information.

User Roles - Create a user role that can only access certain bank/debit card/petty cash accounts.
For example, be able to add a user that can access and reconcile debit card accounts and the petty cash account, without having access to the current account. Therefore, the user wouldn't be able to access the bank balance or salary payments etc.

Xero Inventory Plus - Allow access to XIP regardless of user role
Xero Inventory Plus should be an option, similar to Expenses and Projects, for any/all users regardless of roles. I need everyone on my team to see where our inventory stands.

Merge Xero Me Log Ins
As the HR admin and employee, it would be helpful to have just one Xero Me app login so I can view my personal payslips etc and approve staff leave/expenses...any idea when this may be an option?

Text in pop-ups is fuzzy - make sharp
The text in pop-ups such as the attachments pop-up on an invoice is very fuzzy compared to the text of the window it overlays. This badly needs to be fixed; I can barely read it - honestly, I thought I needed to get my glasses upgraded until I realised it was JUST the pop-up, and my eyes are automatically straining in a futile attempt to make the fuzzy text clearer which is giving me headaches and can trigger migraines.

global chart of accounts
If we are running multiple companies, can we not get option to have global chart of accounts, that all entities have to use / can select which entities the global chart of accounts apply to?

lock period flexibility for income or expense type
we have specific cut offs for certain aspects of our EOM so more options for locking periods in certain categories would be so beneficial.

Being able to access multiple Xero Blue data client files at the same time
Being able to access multiple Xero Blue client files at the same time. In other words being able to have them open in different Windows or Tabs at the same time. At the moment it only allows you to have one Xero Blue file open at a time.
As accountants, some of our clients have multiple Xero data files and we need them open at the same time to track inter-entity transactions and this cannot be done, unless you use a different internet browser.1 vote -

In Australia, if your company wants to offer training services for a recognized Qualification, like an Apprenticeship or Traineeship, and (in particular) claim the associated subsidies from the Government, then the RTO Company must be registered with the Government training/education department.

Permissions - Add Receipt option for Invoice Only user role
For users with Invoice Only access, they currently can only use the 'Receipt' option to add expenses via the mobile app, not via the desktop site version.

Main Dashboard - API option to allow access to the dashboard only
The Xero Dashboard online is great for reconciling daily transactions however, there is no way to give administrators access to just the dashboard in Xero without seeing further private company information. If there was an API to the dashboard, developers could choose to show or hide other confidential information from administrative staff

Organisational Settings - Add Caribbean Netherlands to the list of countries
My company is based on Bonaire, an island in the Caribbean. Bonaire is a special municipality of the Netherlands. Together with two other islands in the Caribbean, namely Saba and Sint Eustatius, we form the country Caribbean Netherlands. Please add this country to your list of countries. Before 2010, these islands were part of the country called Netherlands Antilles, but in 2010 this country was dissolved.

User roles - Give users with Invoice Only Access option to change online payments
Our administrator generates our invoices and has Invoice Only Access, we need her to be able to change whether an invoice is paid by GoCardless or not, one of our company owners has to do this at the moment which is an inconvenience, please change so users with Invoice Only Access have the ability to change online payments.

Navigation - Hide tool tips/help banners
Is it possible to permanently remove the help banners that continually appear at the top of screens in Xero?
Ideally, it would be nice to use these (if needed) and then close them off permanently, so they don't reappear every time you work in the file.
They take a significant amount of space at the top of the screen so you actually have to X them out.
