  1. Workers Comp pay item leave accrual idea.

    There is an option to "Accrue Leave for this Earnings Rate" when setting up the WC pay item.

    What would be good is the option to accrue for AL or PL separately as this alters according to state law eg in WA, AL is accrued but not PL on WC payments.

  2. NZ Payroll. Contractors invoicing us on piece of work basis, we need to deduct WT and to do Payday filing with IRD. In Xero Payroll, can Xero split "Contractors" from "Employees" clearly in all reports (I see many others have asked for that already) and add a "bill feature" to Contractors in Xero Payroll similar to that we use in Xero Payables so we can copy/edit them in future? This will enable saving contractor's bills in each pay run and use bill layout document vs timesheet. Otherwise, if contractors bills that include WT are processed in Xero Payables, can Xero…

  3. an employee has moved to NZ, we are still paying him wages but currently Xero doesnt allow for STP lodgement thorugh the payroll functionality, would be good to have this added, No PAYG & No super is aplicable because of the treaty between AU and NZ - also would be good to have the capability to add in his NZ address to his employee details

  5. Where an employee takes unpaid leave for more than one week, it would be helpful if you could enter in the date in which the unpaid leave applies from so that the anniversary date can automatically be reset. The current set up is rather antiquated, and needs to be automated to ensure accuracy and ease of use.

  6. Xero cannot current cope with companies that have more than one pension scheme. The upload I need to send to the pension provider includes payroll number, pensionable earnings for period, start date and date of birth. It would be useful if Xero had the ability to add these and additional fields if required customised in the contribution report.

  7. Currently you can only view the official submission receipts and their associated IRmark via an XML file. It would be nice to see this in a more user friendly manner and without all the associated coding tags and data.

  8. When you view a payrun, the breakdown at the top shows: Earnings, Taxes, Superannuation, Net Pay, Status & Payment Date.
    When you view the details for any of the employees there is an additional field for Reimbursements at the top of the screen.
    It would be great if the reimbursements total was also shown on the pay runs summary screen to quickly review and identify the total.
    Especially when the clients run their own payroll and we are just reconciling.

  11. Payroll Employee Summary Report

    Is there a way to have this report show the actual period the wages are for? Currently the report shows "for the period 17 April 2024 to 17 April 2024, which is the date the payroll is paid. BUT the period is actually for 10 April 2024 to 16 April 2024.

  12. The feature request is to allow the defining of current liability accounts for pay items with pay types set to Deductions, Payroll Taxes, and Post-tax Deductions. This will enable the tracking of payroll source deductions and taxes necessary for remittance reports to the tax authority (such as EI, CPP and income taxes for T4 and T4 summary completion in Canada).

    There are two ways I believe Xero developers could achieve this goal.

  14. Currently Xero does not assign annual leave and public holiday to a project/job as timesheet doesn't have this function.
    Superannuation generates from payroll (pay run) , however, there is no place to allocate superannuation to different projects/jobs as well.

  16. Apparently this functionality is enabled on the AU payroll system, but not NZ!

    Essentially, it would be great if an employee's annual salary figure could be displayed on their payslips. Given that this is already an option within Xero Payroll for Australia, surely this is an easy addition for Xero Payroll for New Zealand.

  17. Could we have the ability to add the amount paid to a Deduction.

    (A staff member messaged me the other day asking if the $450 showing on his pay slip was the amount he had left to pay for tools deductions or the amount he had paid. After checking I saw it was the amount he had paid and he has $468.93 left to pay.)

    Q: Is there any way to add the amount he has left to pay for tools to the pay slip.

  18. The current screen and filters for Xero timesheet is not user-friendly. In particular, firstly, it would be great if the Employee Name filter allowed you to type and search. Secondly, if the Employee Name filter could include multiple names that would be useful.
    Lastly, not in the filters, but the tick boxes for each timesheet - if the tick box was bigger and next to the line, instead of in the timesheet line this would help. The way it is at the moment, it is too easy to accidentally go into a timesheet instead of ticking it to select for…

  19. Timesheet - Earnings Rate viewing space needs increasing
    Why is the space so small to view the earing rate selected, most earning rates are much longer than the space provided, which is creating issues to clarify if the rate selected is correct. And creating additional time required to check the correct rate has been entered or pulled through from scheduling software.
    Please widen this space, there is plenty of room as there is excess room in the Tracking area or the page actually widened.

  20. I would like to know if there is ever going to be an update to Xero me timesheets to allow employees to enter words instead of regular hours in the description box eg. I am a house builder and have about 6 different sites on the go at the same time and I would like to be able to allocate my employees time to which house they were working on so that I can then charge the customer the correct fee. My employees get different rates of pay so not easy to set up using timesheet tracking.
