UK Payroll - Download and send reports
Hi there,
I am using payroll manager currently for all my client payroll services, and xero does not provide reports like HMRC monthly payment, P32, I can see it but can not download it to send to my client for payment. Also no employee wage report whereby my client see all deductions/additions and pay net wage to all staffs.

AU Payroll : Allow net pay field to be highlighted in Pay Employees screen
It appears that in the last two weeks (submitted 23/2/2022) Xero rolled out a change to payroll, which possibly has some unforeseen implications.
It used to be that if you were only paying a small number of employees at one time, you could use the summary screen (capture attached) to copy and paste the net pay figure for each employee to your online banking portal to effect the actual payment(rather than exporting to a file, and then importing the file to the online banking which is a little clunky for small number of employees - there doesn't exist the same…

Payroll: Expand columns on Pay Employees screen
In pay employees, add pay run the column last edited isn't wide enough to show the full description. It would be helpful to be able to read the whole description of when the entry was last edited. It would also be helpful to know who entered and edited the pay entry.
If new staff are in training and have completed the data entry but are nervous to speak up if an error was found/made knowing exactly who entered it would help to educate that staff member no what might have gone wrong.1 vote -
UK Payroll - Custom periods for P11s
We have requested Downloadable P11's to be made available so we can correct a mistake a previous Xero payroll provider made.
This is not available in Xero which is causing considerable inconvenience and a lot more manual work.This would be a really good idea if this was brought into the payroll package.

UK Payroll: Include student loan calculation on summary reports
Student Loan Tax Calculation
Xero tax sets out the calculation of Income tax and NIC very well.Unfortunately, the system is obscure in relation to displaying the calculation for Student Loan Tax which is important for an increasing number of young people coming into financial maturity.
We need to provide adequate assurance both to them and the increasingly aggressing Student Loan Company to avoid penalties and unexpected bills.
I request that Xero includes a breakdown of the calculation on the Summary computation report.

AU Payroll - Do not update historical payslips when new leave balances are added
We recently had an employee which had a leave type reinstated after a period of over 12 months of it not being used. There was a balance sitting in there for the duration of time that it wasn’t active, and therefore not showing on any payslips that were provided to the employee or filed. We are now in a position that we had to reactive this leave type to be in line with STP requirements and showing leave loading on a separate line. AU Payroll: Display tax rate on payslip
Add the tax rate % on payslips.

AU Payroll: Leave and Leave Loading summary reports
I was preparing ACT Leave return and wanted to get the report on annual leave loading payment to the employees. This is required as the annual leave loading is not part of wages definition for the ACT Leave Levy purposes. However, there is no such report available in xero payroll. Infact, it's an earning for an employee and should pop up separately somewhere in the payroll reports eg. as a pay item. AU Payroll: Hide zero balance leave types from Leave Balance report
Leave Balance Report - Updates need to be made to this report to make it more user friendly:
- exclude zero balances - there is no filter to exclude zero balances on a per employee or per leave type basis? once a leave type has been used in a payrun once it is forever on this report even if the balance is nil and no one in the organisation has a balance in this leave type?

AU Payroll: Edit column length in timesheet approval
I am wanting to configure the view of a timesheet in Xero. I would like to be able to view the full earnings rate when processing timesheets. We are currently in our peak season and have a huge amount of timesheets which we export from a different system into Xero. AU Payroll: Show timesheets on dashboard
Once a timesheet has been approved, I think it should show on the dashboard under bills to pay. We have varying numbers of contractors each week (sometimes many, sometimes only 1 contractor) which makes it difficult to know at a glance how much we owe for their wages each week.

Reports: Superannuation and hours worked on Payment Summary Details report
Being a start-up company we claim R&D refund as part of our tax return. In order to support R&D activities we need to work out employee remuneration and hours to support our claims. Currently, Xero does not have any R&D reports that we can use. Hence, I am wondering whether the Tech team at Xero can include two fields (Column options) in the existing report "Payment Summary Details".
The fields required are 1) Superannuation 2) Units (worked hours)
Then we can export this report to work on our R&D claims. Thank you

NZ Payroll - Ability to Delete bank account from employee payment information
Some employees have payment information (bank account), and others do not at a client account. The client does not use the bank account information for the payment to employees, then, this information is not compulsory for the client at the moment.
I found a wrong information of the payment bank account information of an employee and tried to delete it, however, Xero says:

1 voteWe appreciate the interest and rationale in wanting to be able to delete an employee's bank information.
While this may be a function we look to explore in the long-term we want to be upfront that this is not something we've currently got planned.
In the meantime, you can replace the employee bank account details with fake/dummy information instead.

Payroll: Assign employee permissions from user settings menu
Have a prompt in the users section that prompts you to go to the employees file to add the user permissions for Xero me for employees. It is really easy to go to users and add the employee as a user from the user section rather then the employees card file.
