  2. When in the contact section and viewing the activity tab, it would be useful to be able to view PDF invoice from that screen rather than click on an invoice and click the attachment tab (similar to the function in bills to pay).

  3. Broken down to location/ postal code with the total cost for a contact/supplier in any period is needed.
    I am aware 'the expenses by contact' gives you the total spend in a year but this doesn't filter down to location/ addresses or post code. At year end a key part of our process is reporting local suppliers for our social impact and purpose, we have to complete a time consuming exercise entering addresses/location manually line by line for key suppliers in excel.   4. To be able to see a proper transaction report of either outstanding or all transactions from the contact screen. All it gives you at the moment is a list of invoices and notes etc with no structure. If you could get a transaction history from that screen and an aged breakdown it would be really helpful, which you could download, without coming out of there and having to go to reports. It's so frustrating.

  5. Why does the screen on each contact not show an aged breakdown at a glance like it does in Sage 50 accounts? Sometimes I only want to look at that particular supplier/customer to see what we owe them by month without having to go to the reports screen. Also why does it not list payments on account in the top part of the screen. It is so confusing to work out what is due and what isn't. Awful set up

  6. When I am manually entering a contact bank account number, I find it disconcerting to be warned to enter the bank account number after I leave the BSB code field. But I HAVE to leave the BSB code field in order to move to the Bank account number field! Leaving the BSB field is not a mistake!
    I think the warning would be better triggered if you attempt to click on 'Save & close' without completing both fields.

  7. It would be productive to see if a contact is registered for CIS/verified and their status on the contact account page - where the group info is listed.
    Otherwise the only way you can see this info is by clicking edit the contact. And include a signal/sign on the contacts page next to each CIS registered contact so that they can be identified easily.

    Thanks for your idea, Joe. To better understand the use case and maybe help others who'd be after the same connect with your idea here - Are there any scenarios or situations you generally find when viewing a contact and wanting to view the very next or last contact in a list? 

  9. To be able to 'pin' a note t the top of the client profile to see a note clearly.

    This note will continue to stay at the top of their activity to view easily.

  12. When viewing a contact, the options to "add group" and "remove group" are two separate functions, making moving a contact from one group to another very clunky. This request is to combine the add/remove feature, so you can simply select/unselect which groups a contact is in. This would mean that to move a contact from one group to another, you would simply deselect the old group checkbox and check the new group checkbox.

  14. It would be handy to be able to customize the view screen on the contacts screen within Xero. Ie add additional columns - a payment column? It would be a lot easier to have a visual of payments received rather than having to click on the invoice or run a statement against the client to see when payment was last received / paid. It would also be handy to have an item column that includes payments. As well as an option to reconfigure the column order, Ie. Date in first column.

  15. When a Xero customer is creating an invoice for another Xero customer - why not allow this to automatically show up in the Bills section, if the receiver agrees to this. Would save a heap of time and coding.

When adding a new contact while in the bank feeds screen, you can add a new contact name but cannot give it the gl acct number or enter the address etc. You have to go back to contacts pull up new contact and then enter all info. Please add a feature to add all the info at the moment you set up the new contact name.

  17. When generating a quote or invoice, we've noticed that the [Customer First Name] placeholder doesn't work if we haven't added the customer as a contact beforehand. This process is time-consuming, especially when creating a new quote. Is there a way to customize the quote/invoice creation process so we can include the customer's details, like their first name, without having to create a separate contact?

    Please, this will really increase productivity.

    Hi Bovi, trying to understand your idea here. When you say you'd like to include the customer name without adding the contact. Is this for a 1 time customer? 

    When using new invoicing you can add a new contact while you add the invoice?
