Invoices - Date columns for individual line items
Ability to add date columns for individual line items.
Purpose: To make users easily put a date for each item. The scenario that can benefit users is for them to show a specific date of when the product/service is delivered.

Hi everyone, we appreciate the interest in being able to add dates to individual lines of an invoice. Currently our team are focused on improvements to new invoicing and we want to be upfront we don't have any plans for adding a date column to the details grid within an invoice atm.
Right now if you do require dates for individual line items we'd recommend adding these within the Description field of the line.
We will continue to review this as we continue to evolve the product. If there are any updates or changes, we'll share this all with you through the idea here. Thanks

For invoices related to services provided (rather than products sold), invoices need to have the date a service was provided.
If I get an appointment with a healthcare provider, their invoice will list the date of my appointment. However I can't do the same for my customers when I provide a service for them.
Yes, I can add the date into the description, but that doesn't work for reoccurring invoices where I wish to invoice a client for a service provided every "Monday and Wednesday" of each week.
I'm kinda surprised that having a date a service was provided isn't part of Xero's system already. Really hoping this can be added ASAP to all individual invoices, and then added to reoccurring invoices later on once you figure out how to do it.

Having a 'use date' against line items would avoid customer confusion when receiving my invoices. I run an activity centre, and invoice visiting schools once after their visit. Have one line item covering multiple days of 'camping', or an activity, isn't clear.

How hard could it be ? The option for this and a seperate column for docket numbers. Surely it would be easier for users to delete unwanted columns than simply not to have them

In food industry we have to record mft date & batch nos on our invoices for tracking.

A much needed feature. I currently have to create a separate invoice for each date of service. Instead of being on the same invoice.

This would be a great feature. Really surprised it doesn't exist like it does for literally every other invoice generator since forever.
Also a way to select "all days of the month", "all working days", "all working days minus public holidays" would be incredible. As it stands I bill monthly for time, not products, so I have to enter each date as a line item. When I expand my team there is no way I could continue using Xero invoices if the feature set isn't significantly expanded.
