Organisation setting - Ability to hide/delete the demo company
Option to hide or delete the demo company in Xero.
Purpose: Often a demo company creates confusion for users, so it’s better if they can hide/delete it.
Hi everyone, the demo company provides the ability to test and trial Xero features without impacting data in your live organisation. It's especially useful when you're getting started with the product or want to see how a feature works that you haven't used before.
That said, we understand not all our customers want or need access to the demo company. We appreciate your feedback on being able to hide or remove this here, and our product team are aware of the interest and feedback surrounding this - Both from this direct thread and the previous commentary and votes from the older forum where this originated.
While we don't have immediate plans, this is an area our team are looking to review. We will update you if there is any planned changes to this, through this idea.

It's annoying to see, at least let us hide it from the menu and access it from settings or something logical please..

I wouldn't mind if it was treated like all other organizations and went to the bottom of the list if not used. But it stays in the top five for no reason at all.

Please fix this Xero! It would take only a matter of an hour for a developer to sit down and implement a toggle to hide the Demo company. This (demo company) simply isn't a feature that any of your long-term users need!

This is critical. This is absurd that this is even an issue. It annoys the **** out of me.

How hard is it to have an option to remove the Demo company?

Wow, does not reflect well on Xero that this is an issue for pretty much a decade. Just started using Xero and it already makes me wonder if it was the right choice…

I have 22 organizations in Xero. Please let me take the Demo Company out of the list, I need the space!

This is the dumbest thing ever. How is it nearly a decade without this?

I am trying out Xero and will be managing four business accounts through the platform. The fact that I am forced to have a demo account in my profile that I have to look at is a pain. Thank you for considering this change!!

This has been an idea since 2014?! Just add a new toggle that allows this to be hidden. Especially for non-admin users

@Anthony Holmes - I almost ended up creating a 2nd demo in the early days. But can't get rid of the initial one and it's always 'in the way'. We have seven companies and therefore have to search for the ones that are not showing because of 'demo' taking up space on the list.
This is a straightforward issue that Xero is not taking seriously; it is so far from 'customer-focused' that it suggests Xero really does not care about it's clients and is all about the bottom line. I'm surprised to not find out that Ryanair or Mick 'the sh!t' O'Leary are major shareholders. Shame on Xero for not taking this feedback seriously and acting on it. After all, why bother asking us?

I now run Xero books for 6 real charities, but the demo company always appears at the top of the "Change organisation" list. Since there are only 6 slots on the list, one of the real charities is missing from the list and needs to be searched for rather than clicked on.
