Organisation setting - Ability to hide/delete the demo company
Option to hide or delete the demo company in Xero.
Purpose: Often a demo company creates confusion for users, so it’s better if they can hide/delete it.

Hi everyone, the demo company provides the ability to test and trial Xero features without impacting data in your live organisation. It's especially useful when you're getting started with the product or want to see how a feature works that you haven't used before.
That said, we understand not all our customers want or need access to the demo company. We appreciate your feedback on being able to hide or remove this here, and our product team are aware of the interest and feedback surrounding this - Both from this direct thread and the previous commentary and votes from the older forum where this originated.
While we don't have immediate plans, this is an area our team are looking to review. We will update you if there is any planned changes to this, through this idea.

Looks like Xero made some changes to company selection menu and still ignored the request of many to delete the DEMO company, which is useless once you setup your own company. This feature and ignoring to fix it defies any logic.

This has been an objectionable feature for years. I now have two demo companies listed, it creates clutter and confusion. Please provide the ability to eliminate them. Thanks

It is irritating that we cannot delete or hide the demo account. We have never used it and it sits in the 'recently used' list of organisations (the menu?) waiting there like a little baited trap, hoping for someone to click on it by mistake. I have tried to remove it and used the 'reset demo account' link hoping that would work. No. Now I have two live 'demo accounts' in my list of organisations. Just help us get rid if it/hide it.

It's a waste of menu space having something that is NEVER used!

Just add an option somewhere to hide it?

Allow a users to demo company that’s not used. It pushes some of my companies out of sight. DONT NEED THE DEMO COMPANY day to day. GET RID OF IT

Allow admin to delete the demo company. It just clutters the environment and confuses new users. It serves no purpose.

The existence of Demo Company confuses our clients and disrupts their business processes. Please allow the Demo Company to be removed or Hidden, at least in paid version.

Please allow removal of Demo company. Very silly feature especially if a user is working across multiple organisations the Demo Company gets in the way of the workflow.

I wanted to see what Demo Company was, so I clicked on it & now I don’t want it. As I pay for my Xero account I should be able to delete it!!!!!! It’s crazy wrong!!!!!

I would be keen to be able to hide this too, my OCD does not cope well with seeing every day something I might need once every blue moon.
It should be a setting to be able to hide the demo company from the menu. -

This has been a requested modification for many years now and it appears that Xero just ignores this, even though it is just common sense and simple implementation.

How is this still an issue in 2022? It's a professional piece of software, I'm paying for it, let me use it appropriately.
