Invoice Reminders - Auto email Statements to customers
Ability to send an automatic statement to customer
Purpose: To prevent late payment from customer
Thanks for your support on the idea, everyone. We thoroughly appreciate your participation, and letting us know where you'd like to see change across Xero.
Customer statements, is an area of Xero that needs upgrades to it's technology in order to make ideas like this one here possible.
Currently, while we have plans for modernising this space soon we cannot commit to any new developments for Statements until this work has been complete. Once this has been done I'll round back to the idea here when we can reset the objectives.

Wish to have it ASAP, it would be very helpful to both, us and our customers

Please add this function as a priority. Just as we can send out recurring invoices automatically, so we should be able to do so with statements.

really important feature to add please

Great idea and surely easy to execute given there are options to automatically send invoices and also reminders for late payment. Thanks!!

surprised this isn't available yet? surely an easy fix - the coding is there for automated invoices - surely it's not a big one to automate statements

If we can schedule reminders for overdue invoices, why are we unable to schedule monthly statements? Please can this be looked at as a matter of urgency.

Surprised we don't have this option and would really like it to be a feature.

Hey Juan
Totally agree. There is a plugin called "Statey" on the Xero App store. It allows you to setup a recurring schedule, and apply 'smart' filters like only sending to people that are overdue, or outstanding.
Check it out.

Clients pay on schedules and need statements to reconcile with invoices. This feature would improve cashflow radically.

It's a MUST to have auto statements and chasing on an accounts system

Crazy that Xero doesn't have an auto statement facility. Using an outside source like "Statey" is ridiculous, never mind the extra $10 a month you have to pay. Doing up Statements manually is time I thought I wouldn't have to make up using Xero. Bit silly really.

Doing it manually every month is time-consuming.

Hey Karen
You should check out "Statey" on the Xero App Store.
It's a plugin for Xero that automatically sends statements to your customers.
You can customise the schedule to run weekly/monthly, and you can tweak the format of the statement itself.
It can also send based on 'smart filters', like only sending statements to customers with an overdue or outstanding amount.

Only here, like a lot of others, as I was looking in to how to send these and assumed it would be an existing feature. Very disappointed to find it's not as currently I have to manually send these each month to some customers.
The addition of this feature would be brilliant and would save me a lot of time. -

I got all excited then and went to check out Statey only to find, of course, there is a monthly fee. We shouldn't really be paying extra for a basic, and fundamental, accounting function.

Thanks Gary definitely going to try "Statey" seems you have all areas covered,
Interesting comment that certain customers do not want to receive a statement, I understand if there is nothing due but if a customer wants and account, and they owe money, the cannot really chose not to receive a statement, that would be a condition of business.

Hey Hana and Taneta
You can setup automated statement runs with the "Statey" plugin. It can automatically exclude people who are paid-up, and you can permanently exclude people that don't want statements.
Check it out in the Xero app store.

But some customers do not want to receive statements. If the auto email can exclude the customers who are turned off for reminder would be great!
