Weird. Deleted from where, if it isn't deleted, still visible, accessible but not editable. That's called 'locked'.
Just update as per label. Delete, Remove, Erase, Wipe will all suffice.

Some quotes/PO consist some errors so we have to delete those quotes/PO's.
Since deleted quotes/po also shows in the "All" column in the history which creates a huge confusion.

To avoid such confusions I think we need to have this filter option in "search" tab where we can select require data fields only. Such as this option is available in "Invoice" as attached herewith the snap for your reference.
If we gets the similar option available in Quotes or PO, it would be great help to avoid confusions and it will save XERO's purpose i.e. because of Audit purpose XERO didnt allow customer to permanently delete database.

You can allow your customer to give the option of "Archive" in the PO/Quotes. As its logical and will not create a confusion.

We need to delete the deleted quotes also. It becomes confusing.

I agree with Ryan Pillay - good to tidy up the quote screen, otherwise it becomes messy. Other option would be to add a 'Deleted' tab and move the deleted ones there upon deletion

I understand the reasoning that an active quote should not be deleted, however the logic should be:
• Allow DRAFT quotes to be deleted permanently
• Allow active quotes to be ARCHIVED (if not able to be deleted)
• Allow ARCHIVED quotes to be hidden by a selectable option to apply across all existing filter tabs.

We use quotes for hiring our facilities which are all predefined as non-tracked items. Some quotes don't ever get accepted, and others become invoiced, then the quote deleted. The term "deleted" is misleading if its only just flagged for deletion with no subsequent delete capability. It would be more sensible to re-label these as ARCHIVED or INACTIVE and allow them to be actually deleted or if not, at least hidden on demand.

Also leaving what can often be sensitive quotes available for view later is not acceptable.

Otherwise the process works really well for us.

Disappointing functionality.

Xero should at least change the action title from 'Delete' to 'Make Inactive' or 'Deactivate' to be more honest to the user.

Sensitive and/or inappropriate data is left on display for all users to view.

crazy that this still isn't resolved. please can this be actioned as there is clearly demand and the current situation makes no sense.

If you want to rename the current feature to 'archive' that's fine, but deletion should be permanent and free up the quote number.

Should be hidden at least, if cannot be completely deleted.

There is a potential GDPR risk with this, and we deal with very sensitive clients.

Delete completely for tidiness

When it's deleted it should not appear!
