Quote - Ability to have quote reminder
Add feature to automatically follow up on quotes / send quote reminder *days before expiry or *days after quote issued — as there is with invoices. This feature comes standard with most other quoting interfaces.
Hi everyone, totally get wanting to get an update from us on the idea here. Having a fair amount of interest from users I can say that Quote reminders are defintiely on the teams radar, however with current focus largely on new invoicing we do not have any immediate plans for this in the next 6 months.
I can assure you, though we mightn't be able to provide updates as frequently as you'd like to see, our product teams are heavily involved in the forums here and our community team often connect to share trends, discuss developments and externally communicate changes that are coming across Xero products. It's important to us to continue developing Xero to streamline payments and help our customers get paid sooner, and your idea here does sit in this realm.
When the teams resources open up and we can consider new development in Quotes like being able to send reminders we'll be happy to share and update you all of this, here.

yes, please look at implementing this. It is just as important to follow up on quotes as it is to follow up on invoices - this functionality plus visibility on the dashboard would be great

Please add this feature! Such an easy feature to add.
Quote should have the ability to automatically send reminders as well just like invoices. -

Would be ideal if it could be set to chase a quote a set number of hrs or days after the quote was sent

I would most certainly find Quote Reminders useful. Would save me so much time and hassle having to go through quotes which haven't been accepted by a certain date. I can't understand how this is a feature for invoicing but not for quotes? Seems a bit odd to me, particularly since there is an expiry date for quotes but the system takes no action when the expiry date arrives? There is so much interest in this already, but Xero are "continuing to monitor the interest"?

It's sad, we really like the product and it's simple to use but a few key features seem to be missing. It would make the world of a difference (reminders on quotes and showing open balances on outstanding invoices is my biggest complaint).
I think they just rely on third party apps for that level of functionality so you almost need to use a different invoicing or billing product that integrates from one of their partners but it would be nice if it was built in by default to the core product.

I would be adding a bunch more suggestions if I thought it made one iotas difference but the only thing that happens is a multitude of people reply agreeing- I get spammed with replies and Xero does Zero about it. Poor form Xero. Wish there was a better alternative out there....

I don’t think Xero give a 💩 about what their customers want, they already have our money and set this improvement thing up to appease people is my view now. Obviously not monitoring it as their only comment was April 19 2022. Disappointing, to say the least. Shame on you, Xero.
My comment June 2022:
Can you do this yet?! When I enquired it was a known thing, the community request pages had changed over and it hadn’t gone with them.. I made a new one, your paying customers want it, when can it be implemented? -

"We'll keep monitoring" is just business speak for "we're not doing anything about this and don't have any plans to".
From what I can see there's been no traction on any ideas from users on any useful features at all. All they've done since I've been a customer is revamp the UI which nobody asked for. Its exasperating. Must feature requests are so simple and easy to implement and yet they do nothing.

Pity Xero pays so little attention to the comments posted in these forums! Maybe that's why it's called Xero

Do any of these ideas ever see the light of day? I get a few updates on these ideas and none of them have gone anywhere. Some are several years old. It would be nice to hear from Xero if they have a chance of implementation.

Seems like such a simple request, like sending out reminder invoices for ones that haven't been paid which already exists.

This feature would be very helpful as it would prevent a lot of double ups and mistakes, secondly it is a vital feature for ensuring financials are not missed.

Given the ability to setup automatic reminders it would be an awesome feature for our clients to be able to use this type of functionality as well.
I have 6 clients in the last 10 days who we have recently setup the automatic invoice reminders for who are now asking if we can have this done for quotes.
