Permissions: Payroll - Payroll admin limited access
Ability to give payroll admins only permission to staff.
Purpose: To make the staff have fully access to Payroll but not other parts of Xero.

Not every employer wants their employee admin person to see their working bank account and all other financial matters in their xero file.
It is critical that this function be a stand alone function. -

I agree with Ariella's comments below. We are an accounting firm that processes payroll on behalf of our clients, which necessitates that our staff have Payroll Admin access. However, they are not part of the client organisation and it's therefore ludicrous that they have access to approve our clients' employees' leave. It's a serious design flaw in Xero Payroll and should be rectified immediately!

If Xero could be like MYOB when it comes to payroll securities and only have certain staff have access to payroll and others to only timesheets. Pays are confidential and if you need help with timesheets they have access to all staff's payroll information. I shouldn't be all or nothing !!!

Hi Kelly, Our client is looking for someone to enter times and approve timesheets for all employees without having access to other payroll records.

In the absence of the ability to import timesheets into the payroll system from an external source (eg. excel spreadsheet) can we have specific authorities assigned to the payroll system. One being the ability to enter and approve timesheets only, without having any access to any other payroll information.

Can we have the ability to have a user only able to access and input timesheets, but not have access to payroll and reporting.

I would like to create a user role that has the ability to submit and approve leave requests on behalf of employees, but does not include Payroll Admin permissions (and therefore access to all the business' accounts).
