Invoice/Bills: Notifications - Reminder Invoice/Bill becomes due

To have an option to set up e-mail notifications to receive a report when an invoice payable becomes due

Purpose: To easily be reminded when invoices/bills due through email.

Thanks for your valuable feedback and for sharing the idea of "Bill payment reminder alerts or emails." It's clear this feature would be a significant improvement. As a current workaround, you can use the existing due date field in Xero to sort your bills and set a separate calendar reminder in your preferred app. While we work on assessing this idea, I want to share that we're exploring bill payment reminders for users with multiple initiatives in progress. We appreciate all your feedback and votes, as they help us better understand the impact and benefits of this feature, and we'll be sure to update this page with any new developments.

    When I get a bill, I add it into xero with a due date. I then either schedule the bill for payment on the date or I add a reminder to my calendar to action the bill.
    What would be a great feature would be to have an alert message banner maybe within 3 days of the due date that pops up with "Bill due for payment - click here" or even an email notification of an impending bill due - see attached.
    This is especially more helpful for bills that have a due date > 6-8 weeks in the future.

    This is truly a no brainer feature - show me one person who wouldn't want the ability to be reminded of upcoming bills and the ability to manage the notiifcations to suit their business.

    I've just paid a $96 ASIC late fee because things got busy and I lost track. It's not like we're asking for Calendar integration... just email or text reminders. Heck, even just an alert box when you log in to Xero would be a step up. Such a basic, basic feature, it's almost insulting that this isn't built in. This feels like it should be a weekend project for an intern at Xero.

    Surely this must be one of the top priorities for Xero to develop. In small businesss where finance is but one part of a role, the ability to be reminded when bills are due would be invaluable and would remove the need to keep checking every day in case something gets missed.

    This feature would be so helpful! It would remind businesses to make payments when or before they're due. It would save many businesses money on unnecessary penalties, printing, manual reminder settings, and headaches!

    The ability to add alarms to individual bills that were in dispute or awaiting credits would be extremely helpful. I previously worked with a different software that had the capability to add alarms to almost anything including bills, invoices, creditors and debtors.

    It a bit disheartening that the community has been begging for this basic feature for the last 2 years and there is still no formal solution in place. Upvoting as critical for all businesses. You increased our subscription fees to include features we didn't want, how about meet us half way and give us something we have been asking for?

    Can you setup Reminders for Bills where a reminder is sent to the accountant two days before a bill is due? This is already a feature for customer invoices, so can it be done for bills?

    Astounded this is not a feature already. I'm not in Xero daily and it would really make a big impact for me personally as the prime financial worker.
