Bills - Assign planned date within individual bill
Usually, the options when you make a new bill would be "create new, copy, edit, etc" and date issued, date due, but no date planned to pay. SoI hope that one day there would be an additional option of "schedule for payment at date" because sometimes there are so many bills lying around and going to the "ALL" tab in Bills to pay, to find which are the bills that haven't had a schedule yet to schedule it is kind of inconvenient. So if I may, I would like a small additional option to be able to assign a planned pay date to individual bills at the instance I create the bill.
Hi everyone, returning to confirm that Quick view for bills has now been released to all users.
You'll see while still on the list view when you click the 'eye' icon you can see full detail of your bill and make a few quick actions including the ability to add a planned date.
I appreciate there are a couple of recent comments still wanting to see this in the individual bill page - please give this option a try and feedback if still does not meet your needs. We may open another idea to get a refreshed sense of the interest. Thanks

When entering bills it would be wonderful to have a button at the bottom of screen to allow a date for payment to be added as there are several bills that I pay regularly each week and it would be a help to be able to allocate date for payment on the Edit Bills screen, rather than having to Approve and then search and then add a date for payment. Would be a great time saver when you have hundreds of bills to scroll through :-) This feature could also be used when entering any bill ie; for payment at EOM. I currently do this manually when we receive statements.

It would be great if you could mark a date to pay to a Bill when it is being entered or approved and not have to go to Awaiting Payment, find the Bill and then add a batch date.

I would like the option to add Planned Date when entering the invoice. Not easy to remember to enter this once the invoice is entered and approved.

Another reason that it would be handy to have the Planned to Pay date within the Edit Bill screen is that this is when you're most 'in tune' with what's required for that particular bill. Seeing a blank Planned Date in the Awaiting Payment tab does help to work out what is yet to have a Planned to Pay date assigned but, when you're adding multiple bills at once, it can be hard to remember which you need to get paid this week versus next week.
Also, there can be some time elapse between Submitting a Bill for Approval and the Approval itself, so you need to remember some time later which date you planned to pay. -

It would be great to be able to set the Planned Date when creating or editing a bill, rather than having to create/edit and then set the Planned Date via a date picker on the Bills Overview page.
I already have to set the Date and the Due Date when creating/editing a bill, surely there could be an extra dropdown there for Planned Date so that I can do it all in one step?
It's frustrating to have to go back to the Bills overview page after editing a new bill just to set the Planned Date. The Due Date can change depending on the supplier's terms, so I need to generate the Due Date first before knowing when to set the Planned Date.
In addition, the Planned Date picker can be quite touchy sometimes and takes you to the Bill page when you click on it instead of popping up the date picker. Then, if you're taken to the Bill page, there's no option to set a Planned Date, so you have to go back to the Overview page!
