Its important for us to know what date a client was added into Xero. Again, this a simple field (date created) that could be included in the export file (as well as the notes field).

This is important when client needs to keep record

We need the history/notes so we have a record of the chemical products used and work done on the clients property for our records and future repeat work.
Plus if we are audited by Food Safety we have to show products used on site and the areas sprayed, This is all recorded in notes. There are so many useless columns in the csv file why not have 1 or 2 more.

I still use the Delivery Address fields for notes as that can be exported. Ridiculous I know!

Has anyone found a solution for exporting the Notes section from Xero? It's frustrating that a system stores this information but doesn't offer an export option, it feels unprofessional and irresponsible.

Would like to see this included in Xero, surely cannot be that difficult to just add this? Seems STUPID to not have this?

Just moving over from Sage to Xero, disappointed to find that both Sage export and Xero import functionalities are so limited. Problems included: moving across VAT numbers, Xero appears unable to store job titles/phone numbers for multiple people within a contact

Gift aid information for contacts is critical for our use case. Contacts is the logical place to put this stuff but I only just realised that we can't update in bulk or pull off notes in bulk which will push us back to separate parallel inefficient records..

We use this to store AWRS numbers for our wine suppliers, which HMRC want to check from time to time. Quite important for us to have this functionality.

This seems crazy it can't be done. Its basic fundamentals.

I would like the ability to import/export notes in other areas as well. The software we sell often has vendor rules as to how it's sold, e.g. "Must include min of one license of X before customer can order any licenses of "Y" (and many others).

These notes can be added individually, but there are dozens of rules across our range. Importing new pricelists and updating these manually is incredibly tedious.

Also, with Notes being at the bottom of the screen and needing to be expanded to see them, there is no way for users to know there is a rule attached to any product without going in and looking at each.

An update today (15 Aug 2023) seems to be the ability to Export "History and Notes", but not the Notes in Contacts. So disappointed!

Xero???? When will this notes field be added? It is absolutely useless to have a field that can only be utilised in Xero itself. Surely it can't be that hard to add this to the export in Contacts. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE provide an update

Hi Xero, Where are we at with this? I will say it again, there is no point in implementing the new note field if we can't export or import in bulk. Please provide us all with an update as to when will this be happening. Thanks Joana

Yes please. The new NOTES field is only useful if we can search for its contents or export as suggested.

There is little point in having the contact notes field if we can import/export in bulk.

It's important for xero set up/migration for clients. It's time consuming if this feature is not available.

I need to export the notes to add it to accounts that's handed over.
