FX rates used on Balance Sheet report
The 'old' balance sheet showed the fx rates as a note at the bottom - can we have the option to add this to the new balance sheet layout.
Hi everyone, we've just released disclosures for foreign currency in Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss, Trial balance, Movements in equity, Budget Variance and the Blank reports.🙂
When you run one of these reports in base currency you'll see indicators next to amounts that have been translated that show the exchange rate that was used.
Where applicable and you run one of these reports in a foreign currency there will be an indicator next to the currency sub heading that links to a note which display the exchange rates at which the base currency has been translated to foreign currency as at the report date, and any comparative dates.
We'll be extending this feature across more reports and I'll return to share as these come available. Thanks!

I also used to use the old balance sheet to track FX balances by filtering by tracking category, so that I could find the source of any ongoing FX revaluations within a tracking category. Any suggestions how to do this now that the old report has been retired please?

With one month since throwing the good old report away or two months since this thread being created, we don't see any positive action done by the developing team. What's the difficulty there? Is this essential information actually not important for the Finance Controller in Xero? Don't you find an accounting software promoting automation asking for manual workaround ridiculous? Did the support rant daily to you guys how many tickets come to them daily because of whatever function gone?
We are now wasting couple of minutes going back to the currency section and manually type whatever rate used for each currency for each reporting month.
How long do we have to wait until an implementation?

This is a very important for us as the rate also feeds other software that we use within our company. Please bring it back.

It really does not make sense this was removed. It was particularly useful when providing and going through management accounts with our clients. They too are noticing its absence.
Not having this on the new balance sheet is very not helpful for businesses with assets and liabilities in foreign currencies. Often these are group companies with overseas parent's or subsidiaries so the exchange rate used is critical.
It's return will be greatly welcomed. -

Absolutely vital for our organisation that this information is reinstated. Not only Balance Sheet but also on the Sales and Purchase Ledgers.

NEW version Balance Sheet needs to show the "Figures converted into Australian Dollar using the following rates" & the rates used by Xero in a Notes section at the bottom of the Balance Sheet. The OLD version Balance Sheet had this. Extremely disappointed that this has been removed in the new version.
