Xero Me - Show hours in a leave request for part time employees

Xero Me App Leave Requests to show the total hours being requested by the employee. When Part Time Employees post leave requests there is no way for xero to know that they are only taking part time hours or days

    I agree with all the comments below. XeroMe needs a lot of work and is a surprisingly useless app for this day and age. We encourage our staff (the full timers but particularly the part-timers) to use a hard copy leave form instead of the app. Sort of defeats the purpose of the app but at least we can ensure the leave request details are entered correctly.

    Xero is not calculating the correct hours for Annual Leave when someone has put in request, although template is set on e.g. 38 hrs/week. Also when someone works Part Time, Annual Leave is not calculated correctly. Why? Because you can not allocate how many hours someone works per day.

    Admin as well as our employees are very frustrated that they cannot request leave that matches their current part time status by entering just their leave dates or at the very least - have the ability to enter thathe amount of leave hours claimed for the pay periods!!! .
    We would expect that a software program as established and as sophisticated as Xero would have the ability to do this.
    Manually going through and averaging the hours worked over the previous period and dividing by the number of pay periods to come up with a percentage of full time hours to apply to each pay period..and then manually calculating the hours...seems ridiculous in this day and age.

    Also frustrating when an employee is requesting leave via Xero Me for multiple days off it doesn't give you the hours field to select the actual total hours wanted to be taken over the multiple days, this only comes up if you select just the one day leave. Really needs to be updated ASAP.

    Quickbooks payroll is a far superior product to this load of rubbish. Xero just creates more time for HR to have to manually adjust every entry for part-time staff.

    In some ways Xero Payroll/Super is awesome, but in other ways it is really terrible. Being able to have an employee create a leave request with the actual normal hours appearing (rather than a 5 day a week spread) seems like something we shouldn't have to ask for, it is something that should be standard

    Totally agree with Tara.
    We need to be able to select the hours rather then day, as part time employees hours are being spread over 5 days when they may not work that many.

    We have a couple of part time employees and the manual effort to calculating employee leave requirements is huge!
