Invoices - Make Due Date non-mandatory
There doesn't seem to be an option to delete the due date on sales invoices, my client doesn't want this to show on their sales invoices so it would be really useful if this could just be excluded

My client is also finding this an issue, they are a funeral director and don't want to seem pushy when sometimes you have to wait for probate. They have managed to remove the due date from the invoice however when they e-mail the invoice directly from Xero it automatically shows the due date as a heading and there is no placeholder in the e-mail settings to remove this. Xero solution is to send the invoice as a pdf attachment from your e-mail separately, but this is removing the functionality of the program. Surely if you didn't have to have the due date field this then wouldn't show on the e-mail.

I require payment upon completion and before lodgment, yet it is the clients choice when they pay. Displaying the due date appears demanding.

this would seem to be a simple issue. I first reported this over 4 years ago - still waiting.
We don't ship products until invoice is paid. Clients need an invoice to pay us, but they choose when to do that - so due date is not relevant. -

Our final payments are due on date of completion of project and when issuing an invoice, we do not know when this will be. Any kind of due date makes this very complicated and causes confusion. I have to contact each client after sending them an invoice to apologise and ask to ignore the due date. This looks very unprofessional from our side.

Sometimes we don’t want to put a due date as our clients can be sensitive to what looks a bit of a demand..
