Bills | New bill button - single click option
New Bill Button - Please bring back the single click New Bill button. Anywhere I click on the New Bill button gives me a dropdown menu, requiring mouse movement and a second click. I would expect this to function in the same way as the new invoice button where you can click on the button to generate a new bill or you can click on the arrow down to see the dropdown menu. Bring back the single click efficiency.

Thanks for your feedback on this change, Patricia. Out of interest is there a particular reason or workflow for why you prefer to enter your bills manually rather than via an upload?
Appreciate, will take a little getting used to a different flow. A couple of other options for navigating to the new bill screen could also be;
- Using the keyboard shortcuts (Alt+Shift+N) from the bills screen
- Using the '+' icon in the navigation header to quickly Create a new Bill from any screen
- Using '/' and typing 'b' in the global search where you'll get the option of New bill from any screen
While we'll get a sense of interest in this through your idea, we want to be open that there aren't any plans for changing this back.

I receive bills typically via email in PDF files. I have tried the email XERO method with a bill from a vendor that represents 90%+ of our purchases and all XERO does is create a draft bill with the date and bill number. The system did not populate the vendor name nor did it input any of the line items or amounts for the bill. I find it more efficient to manually input the bill start to finish than to email, select the draft bill and then still have to manually enter 99.9% of the bill details.
The Alt+Shift+N may be helpful. I'm already familiar with the '+' icon on all of the screens - but thank you for mentioning it.
Regardless of these methods, you have an inconsistent button. Everywhere else in XERO, a "New" with a down arrow icon button has two functions - click on the word "New" and get a new document (new invoice, new bill if you click from the Purchase Overview screen). If you want the menu of options, you click on the down arrow icon next to the word New. It doesn't make sense to me to have changed the New Bill button on the Bills Overview screen to only have ONE function instead of TWO. Why make it a drop-down menu only function? Split the function into clicking "New" to generate a new bill or clicking the arrow icon to see the menu of options. I'm not suggesting relocate the button or recolor the button or redesign the overall page. Simply give it the two-function options that it had before and that all of the other "New" buttons have throughout the system.
