Syft - Allow to share dashboards for the date range set and not revert to current month
I quite like the dash board feature and shared it with some clients. However, when they click on the link, it rolls over to current period. It would be good to either integrate this with reporting or allow a dashboard to be saved so it can be shared to show data at a point in time

I second this!
The dashboards look very slick and really helpful to be able to customise with various widgets but NOWHERE does it state that when you share the link it will just revert to the current month. I put together an annual sales dashboard for my boss and only spotted the fact the link did not reflect this bc I tested the link first (as some of the data does not show up either).
When I spoke to the (very helpful) Xero customer service person, he looked into it as he also thought it was a glitch but when he came back to me, advised that the product design team at Syft said that is how it is meant to work?!
I cant imagine any end user being able to use this as it is now as shared links - if your boss says 'send the last quarter' and you can only send this month (often not complete until the month after anyway as data comes in as sales invoices are paid etc) they aren't going to see the merit in it.?
The alternative would be to be able to export to pdf but you can't do that either with dashboards, only each graph at a time....so to produce an overview with all the data you need, it would take a lot longer than creating a Xero Management report (for example) as you'll have to export one by one then stitch them all together to create a full dataset in a multi page pdf. ...who has time for this!?
The most irritating part of this is I upgraded our Xero account to Ultimate which is an extra £180+VAT per year as it quite clearly stated "upgrade in order to export to pdf excel etc" it didn't say you can't export the dashboards!
In short:
1. get the comms right. your customers don't like to feel like they've been scammed by misleading information in order for Xero to get more money
2. get the functionality working as we would expect - you customise a dash, you send the link to that dash. not one (incomplete) month only
3. and/or allow export to pdf -

Expand “Analytics powered by Syft” to include full report functionality.
The current Analytics powered by Syft integration within Xero provides a useful set of visual dashboards and graphs, but it lacks several essential features available in Syft’s standalone product — such as Grouping, detailed Profit & Loss reporting, and the ability to drill down into figures for transaction-level insights.
These functions are fundamental for effective financial analysis and are expected within a tool branded as “Analytics.” Without them, users still need to rely on exports to Excel or switch between different reporting views in Xero, which defeats the purpose of an integrated analytics solution.
Including these core features would make the embedded version far more valuable — allowing users to generate complete, interactive reports directly in Xero, saving time and eliminating manual workarounds.
