    Thanks for sharing how we could improve projects for you, Jenni. Not exactly what you're asking here but thought it was worth sharing that we have an idea over here for being able to set a default for items to be non-chargeable if you feel this would accommodate what you're also after I can merge to get a better overall view.

  2. When you export invoices, it gives you multiple lines for any invoice which has more than one line. It is therefore not possible to easily total up the amounts due because some invoices are on there multiple times meaning the values are overstated.

    Hi Stewart, is there a way you see the export being more helpful for you. For example would you be looking for a summary of each invoice? The Receivable Summary and Detail reports maybe useful for this sort of view and can be exported.

  3. Currently one can only post 50 lines in an invoice. It should be unlimited as some clients have at least 200 lines or more depending on their line of business.

  4. Include a tracking order under inventory/product items. For e-invoicing in Malaysia, a classification code must be tagged to each product items when issuing the bill. This is mandatory as the e-invoicing would need to be validated by the tax authorities. Including this classification code simplifies the coding for each product items and this would avoid running into errors during validation with our tax authorities.

  6. When previewing bills in 'awaiting payment' or 'awaiting approval' there used to be up and down arrows to cycle from one bill to the next or previous. The arrows have been removed from the interface with no plans to bring them back.

    Previously, we could review the account and GST coding of each bill, as well as having the attached invoice open to the right, including the abillity to review the Xero ocntact bank details by clicking on the contact name. Now, without the abiity to cycle between bills easily, it means we need to close each bill before clicking…

    Hi community, we acknowledge the strong feelings in this idea and why you need a feature to flag bills directly within Xero. We really appreciate all your feedback and the detailed explanations of how this would help streamline your accounts payable.

    We are dedicated to providing a solution for this over the longer term, but this will take some time requiring changes that sit beneath the face of bills.

    In lieu of a direct feature for this we wanted to highlight some of the options discussed by the community here:

    • Add a note to the bill: A detailed note on the bill itself can serve as a clear internal reminder of the dispute.

    Hi Amanda, in lieu of having a direct field and selection for this in Xero perhaps an option could be to add this information to the Notes of the contacts record, or attaching as a file to the contacts record.

    Appreciate this doesn't automatically flow through to the invoice.

  12. In the bank account settings, add an optional data field to enter in the Overdraft limit on a bank account. Then on the dashboard screen, show the net available balance of current bank balance + the undrawn Overdraft limit.

    Purpose - to save the user from having to manually calculate how much is available to make supplier/payroll payments or login to internet banking prior to check.

    Should also be a simple feature to add.

  13. Xero to xero network - send purchase orders. Want to be able to send my regular supplier a Xero Purchase order via Xero network, who can then create a bill in their Xero, who can then send me their Invoice via Xero network. Would be super helpful given the start of the workflow is typically the purchase order.

    We'll gauge the interest from the community in expanding the use of the network to send purchase orders. This isn't something we have plans for at this stage but we'll let you know if there are any updates.

  16. Can the tracking category be "text wrapped" so that the full description can be seen? I often have to click edit to see the full description of the tracking category which takes takes time.

  17. On Xero bills, as well as being able to filter and search for purchase invoices by contact or invoice reference, being able to search by a nominal code would be helpful. For example, making a payment run for all of one type of cost; finding any invoices that have not been allocated properly or for finding amounts that need to be included in management accounts.

  19. Accounts Payable - New Bills/payee highlighted in batch payment summary

    I review the batch payment summaries for our organization after they have been approved by managers but I would like some further controls - it would be great if there was some indication on the batch payment summary that this was a first time bill payee and/or if Xero could check for duplicated bank account numbers in the batch payment summaries.

  20. Enhance the Duplicate Bill Review screen by enabling direct click-through access to individual bills.

    When reviewing potential duplicate bills, it would be helpful to click on any listed bill to open and inspect it directly. This allows users to quickly identify and resolve issues—such as an incorrect reference number—without having to search via another screen. After making corrections, users should be able to refresh the Duplicate Bill Review screen to confirm whether the duplicate warning has been cleared.
