Invoice: Add 'Select Branding Theme' to print PDF button
Invoice - Add ability to "Print PDF" button to select which Invoice Branding Theme to print regardless of the Branding Theme assigned to the Invoice.
Use Case: Business has products which are legally required to be sent to a third party. White the invoice being sent to the customer is a full invoice, a reduced version is included for this third party. With current functionality, we have to Edit the Invoice, Change the Branding Theme, Print the PDF and then edit the Invoice and revert the Branding Theme back to our standard.

Sales overview - Ability to view % increase overtime
Sales Overview screen needs improving to show percentage increase in invoices sent, month on month. Attached is an example to show how it needs to be drastically improved to be like. Companies basically could raise capital off this screen - come on Xero! Please improve the screen to be like this example.

Project - Automatically import individual time entries from projects to payroll timesheets
To import individual time entries from projects to payroll timesheets, at the moment this only comes through as a bulk time for the day, you then have to manually add the time to the particular pay item if you use more then one pay item. Very frustrating and time consuming, would be nice to have this automated.

Reporting- Customize Columns (Add/ Remove any column from Company fields or Contact fields)
Allow any field from the company or contact field to be added to report columns. e.g. Company account ID so once a report is downloaded we can use Vlookup and consolidate data from several different reports, Company City, or State so we can evaluate sales based on geography. The currently available columns in the Reporting are very restrictive and do not allow a business to make smart decisions as data is scattered or not available easily.

Sales Invoice - Print each customer's payment term on tax invoice
Does Xero have any plan to put the payment term feature showing on tax invoice in near future? Currently, we setup on each customer record. But the payment term is not printed automatically for each customer. Hope to see this feature soon on all printed invoice.
4 votesHi Emily, there's no way or immediate plans for enabling differing payment terms per contact on invoicing atm.
Right now, if you have differing payment terms for different sets of customers, they way to represent these differences would be through the use of invoice templates.
You can then set a default branding/template to be applied to each of your contacts which'll be auto applied when you raise and send an invoice for them.

Quote - Bigger space for terms
When creating quotes, there is not enough space to add our Terms and Conditions in the relevant field. There are nowhere near enough characters. Please can you increase the size of that, and also allow us to have smaller text there too. We have long terms and it's very important we get them in.
9 votesHi team, while we don't have plans to increase the space directly within the Quote on Xero there are two ways you could go about adding larger terms to your Quotes. You could;
- Attach the (externally created) file with the full T&Cs to each quote as it is created, and then include it as an attachment
- Use an advanced invoice template for your invoices/quote etc - making the document the second page of the advanced template.

Sales invoice - Edit tax rates without removing payment
It would be great if we could edit the tax rate without reversing the payment allocation. Sometimes, when completing the VAT reconciliation before sending to HMRC, I spot errors in tax rates and I can't edit it without reversing the payment allocation. You can edit the account it is posted to but not the tax rate.

Xero Accounting app | Invoice - Ability to reorder/sort invoices
Please could you enable the option of re-ordering an invoice on the mobile app. Sometimes invoices need to be changed or additions to be made to specific dates. For example, if I want to amend my invoice and add a charge , I would like to be able to press a re-order tab, to make all items billed live, so I can move then up or down the invoice. It is not a new idea, a lot of payment software have this as standard.

Expenses - Claim query function. Rather than just approve or deny, an option to query with a note to the submitter about the details of the claim or to add a better/proper receipt etc

Projects | Quotes - Pull through Item description as well as name
In Projects, when we add tasks to the project (pulled from Products and Services) and then Create Quote, the Product or Service name is what imports into the description line in the Quote and not the description from that Product or Service, as it does when creating a quote outside of Projects. Having this consistency makes sense (and is strange that it is not already the default) but it makes creating a quote from projects cumbersome, as the description needs to be added manually.

Purchase order - Use total cost and number of units to calculate unit price
Ability to enter total amount of Purchase Order and number of units, then the unit price will be automatically calculated. Have quotes given by suppliers that are a fixed amount that cannot be changed, and because of the Unit number the total has to round up, it doesn’t give the same total.

Xero Projects - Needs Total Estimated Hours & Total Actual Hours (for Tasks) at top of Project. We quote projects based on hours and $ for each task. We would like to be able to easily see 'total hours' at the top of the screen for the project, and then total hours used, so we can see how many hours we have left to go on the Project (helps us to keep worked hours in check). Quotes - Make the Title Field searchable
Why can't we search quotes by title? It would be so useful and its so overlooked by the design team. I have loads of jobs for one client and I have to sift until I find it rather than search my the job name. Please Zero!

Tracking category on Automatic fees from Payment services
There should be an option to add the Tracking categories in the automatic fees from the Payment services such as Paypal, Stripe, etc. This is a small update but can save a lot of time in EOM processes so we do not need to do Find and Recode at the month-end for these transactions.

Contacts: See a contact's full spend history
I am a relatively new user to Xero but have over 35 years MYOB experience as an Accountant. While I enjoy many of the Xero features there is a fundamental one that is missing and frustrates me endlessly. In MYOB under contacts there is a history tab where you can easily see spend history by month for several years for customers and suppliers. This is such a simple but powerful screen that is completely missing in Xero. Running reports is slow and un-necessary.
Have you considered offering this simple enhancement to Xero?
