Management Report - Ability to save individual reports as custom
Management Report: Be able to save individual reports in the management report as custom reports. Currently only the pack can be saved as a custom report. If I have edited the profit and loss I cannot save this specific report to be used in other management packs.

New Invoicing - Approve and view next in sequential order
In the classic invoicing, when I am approving my invoices draft then I click "Approve and view next", it goes in the next invoice subsequent number.
In the new invoicing version, when I click on "Approve and view next", it goes directly to the last invoice number instead of the next one. I have a lot of drafts to approve and it has to be in the right order.
For this reason, I stay with the classing invoicing. I might consider switching back to new invoicing if this issue can be resolve in the future.

Reporting - Show Invoice Approved Date in the Current Nominal transactions Report for Turnover reconciliation
Turnover per XERO and VAT declared Net Sales should be ideally Equal ,however often may not match and therefore need reconciling-which is important to understand the difference from both the YE accounts and HMRC point of view .
There should be a report in XERO which can facilitate this reconciliation rather than use spreadsheets -which is time consuming when the information is already existing in XERO
One of difference arising is -"The Date" invoice created and approved -are different and will report in different periods of the VAT return and Xero Sales Nominal Account

New invoicing - sending invoice reminder in a closed period
New Invoicing - currently wont allow me to send an invoice (as a reminder for payment) if it is in a locked period. Which i don't understand as it is not affecting the accounts in any way.
It is very time consuming having to download and then email from google, rather than straight from Xero as before.1 vote -

With the latest change you'll now find we've made it easier for you to opt-in to receive your Xero subscription bill via eInvoicing. You can now do this from your online invoice (My Bills page) instead of through the Billing contact page. Helping save you time and reduce manual data entry every month.😁
We understand there are other regions that'd still like to see this functionality developed and we'll shift back to submitted and share when there is news of moving this further afield.
We also wanted to address the recent comment of data sharing - We'd like to confirm that Xero do not share data with Peppol.com. We use the Peppol network and the subscription invoices are sent using our wholly owned provider, Tickstar. -

Bank Rules - Add notes for rules
I want to be able to add notes to rules I setup, but I don't want to use the description field as that shows on the books. I like to know why I chose not to set a tax rate on a rule, or if the business owner has told me something specific about a re-occurring transactions that they may not always provide a receipt for. I would like to have something to look back at so that I understand why I set it up as I did. Hopefully that makes sense?

a negative gross profit x a negative net sales = a large INCORECT gross profit
Mathematically a negative x a negative = a positive. But when this is gross profit @ 312%, it does not represent the business financial position.

profit and loss compare tracking and previous years
A P&L for a tracking category should be able to be run with prior year periods...this is a pretty basic functionality which is not available as advised by Xero support.

Repeat invoicing - Automatic attachment placeholders
Automated File attachments for repeating invoices.
Is it possible to add a feature where attachment placeholders can be saved with a repeating invoice.? So that attachments can be bulk uploaded at some future time and they are included in the draft invoice using file name matching. "[contactname][year][month].csv" for example. Even better if this could done with all the attachments extracted from a single uploaded monthly zip file. The zip file could also perhaps contain a txt file with a simple filename to invoice matching array for a more flexible approach. I know that adding attachments is easy via…

Manual Journals - Import additional lines into an existing manual journal
Since system allows to import manual journal with up to 300 lines cap, it would be of high value to have a feature to import additional lines into the existing manual journal (especially that we found an instruction on how to do that, but there is no functionality withing the Xero product)
Or as another alternative, if there is an option to merge existing manual journal entries than it will work perfectly as well.1 vote -
New invoicing - Contact discount not being applied to invoice
New invoicing - my contacts have a 10% discount which automatically adds the discount when adding items to a draft invoice. If I save the invoice as a draft and close it to come back to later...when I re-open the invoice it will no longer automatically add the discount, I have to enter it manually for each line
1 voteThis doesn't sound like regular behaviour, Chris. Is it something you've raised with our specialists at Xero Support. I'd recommend getting in touch with them with examples of contact s and invoices this has occurred with. Any screenshots you can show where you've added items to a draft invoice where the discount isn't showing and an image of the contact record with the discount saved should help them investigate.

Tracking - Sub-category under options
Can we please add the ability to set up a sub-category under category options?
For instance, we have already tracking categories by store locations (i.e. Loc 1, Loc 2, Loc 3). However, we need to have a sub-category per Deputy's area (i.e. FOH, BOH) under the store locations.
Category option: Loc 1 (Store Location)
Sub-category option: FOH, BOH (Area)If we could set up a sub-category under tracking options, that would be great. Thank you!

Reporting - A more detailed Purchase Order report

The current work around of using the Outstanding Purchase Orders Summary report lacks a lot of the vital info that's needed to manage Purchase Orders and create accruals at month end. A report that shows all the - coding, tracking codes, dates, who created and who approved, Description, etc and ability to run reports on only those that are not Billed and both with and without detailed lines would be more helpful.15 votes -

Add a more detailed bank transaction report.
It would be nice to generate a bank report that allows you to see the accounts booked in details. For example, if one transaction has multiple accounts, I can see what accounts where used and what amount. this would make it a lot easier to look over and control if you made some mistakes or did not included bank fees in the transaction.2 votesHi Ester, have you tried he Account transactions report? There's a 'related account' column that may suit your needs and will show the GL account that the transactions is coded to.
