  1. SAVE FOR LATER section within the Reconcilation page
    We should be able to add a transaction to the top of the list to a section that doesnt scroll, another tab or click a button to change its colour to signify it is now in a special section for 'saving for later'.
    Sometimes a transaction needs looking into further and when doing recon you might end up with half a dozen of these, it would be really handy to be able to group them at the top of page or turn them a different colour so that when continuing on they…

  6. Would love for Xero Expense Admin to be able to see Expense Reports listing the Labels, and being filtered/grouped by Labels.

    For background, Xero Expense allows employees to put a Label. The Labels can even be pre-set in the organization's settings. But the Xero Expense Admin's don't have a way to report on on expense claims by Labels.

    Reporting based on Labels would allow users to tag Xero Expenses for projects for instance.

    Thanks everyone - It's good to know how we can enhance Xero expenses for our customers. While we'll consider how we can develop labels in the long term, we don't have any plans for adding filters within expenses or reports for Expenses labels right now.

    If there's any updates to share around this I'll definitely share with you all through the idea.

  8. I want Xero to automatically set contact names when importing transactions from bank feeds, but this doesn't happen on of my several 'bank feeds' where the 'payee name' is blank and the actual payee data appears in the 'description' field instead.

    This means that the option to set the contact name directly from the payee field (when using bank rules) doesn't work and I have to manually enter the contact name for every transaction when reconciling the account transactions. Extremely tedious and labour intensive!

  9. It's not possible for customers to update their own email address eg if we send an invoice or statement to an old email address and they want to change it. Would be good if customer could update it and we just verify it. Or some kind of automated form they get to speed updating it.

  11. Dear Community,

    as we now have the W9 Request Feature with the 1099 Reporting, I would please request the same for the W8 Series for the 1042 Reporting. I know the forms are much more complex, but I experience that clients, even though reminded about the importance of gathering the W8s. Many completely disregard the Withholding requirement w/o the form.

  12. Xero doesn't currently have the option for reporting PAYG Income Tax Instalment on a monthly basis. Could Xero look into providing this option in the monthly BAS Activity Statement reporting.

    Appreciate your input here, everyone. Our team has looked into this idea to better understand the needs and complexities involved, however they don't have any concrete plans for it just yet.

    Rest assured that our eyes are on the ground monitoring your feedback and votes here, so please keep adding them in this thread. For the time being, I’ll move this idea into ‘Under review’ status. And if there's any movement, we'll make sure to come back here and let you all know.

  13. It would be great to have the option to email a customer invoice as a csv or pdf or both. We are getting an increasing number of requests to send the csv version of invoices for our customers and this is currently quite a manual process to email the exported invoices.

  14. Reporting - Account Transactions - Group by Contact Group - Aged Receivable Transactions

    When I run the Account Transactions new report with Grouping as Contact Group, the option to add opening and closing balances is blocked. Is it possible to enable this so that we can use the report in lieu of a monthly activity statement for the Group.

  15. For the new format of the Profit and loss report, only show the tracking categories that actually have a balance. Therefore do not show with nil balance.
    Currently have to adjust the report to remove the relevant columns which is time & $.

  16. We really need an option to account for back orders when invoicing. Other accounting software providers ie MYOB have this option. I was surprised to find there was no automatic option in Xero.

  18. Watchlist - Ability to toggle off MTD and/or YTD.

    When using Gusto payroll the Xero Book balance for the checking account is not affected until the checks are cashed. I have added the Clearing account to the Watchlist but the MTD number is of no value. The YTD balance shows all checks still outstanding. Users can then manually deduct from book balance to know what's really available. So I'd like the ability to show/no show MTD and YTD by options to turn each on or off in the watchlist dialogute for each chart of account item.

  19. Discounts - the ability for the discounts in sales to be allocated to an expense account rather than distorting sales figures. At the moment each line item has the cost of the item then applies say 10% discount equals net which then is allocated to the sales account. I would like the option to allocate discounts to an expense called discounts given so that we can track and show the correct sales figures. By distorting sales figures you could be affecting calculations like WET. other programs allows you to setup discounts given & taken and freight even.
