    Dear Xero,
    Please consider the feature of being able to batch up foreign currency Bills. We often pay multiple invoices in one go, having to reconcile and mark as paid 10 invoices is extremely time consuming.

    Hi everyone, thank you for all the interest and we appreciate the needs for those using foreign currency to have more efficiency in how you process these bills for payment. Your feedback and votes here have not gone unnoticed - We have a team that have been doing some ground work in this space and at this time we have beta that we'd like to invite any UK customers to join and feedback to our team on the experience. If you'd like to be a part of this please fill in our form here and we'll be in touch.

    We appreciate this idea is farther reaching than UK alone and while the beta is limited to this region for the time being, based on results we will look at expanding this to other places.

  2. The print date that now appears at the bottom of reports is useful for some reports and circumstances, and I understand this date is now turned off for Published Reports.

    However we do not 'publish' our financial statements - we send our financial statements to clients in a practical and informative pack instead. This is a more efficient, professional and streamlined approach for us.

    It's good to know the small changes that can make a difference to our customers. Thank you for all sharing with us on the idea, here. Our team are looking into a solution at the organisation level, that'd enable you to remove the Date from footer for all reports exported to PDF. While they explore this we'll move the idea to Under review and I'll be back to share more as this moves along.

    Hi Kai, you can run the Payable Invoice Summary report which has the ability to include Planned Date as a column, or you can also choose to group by this field if you'd prefer - Does this achieve what you're in need of here?

  5. We would like the ability to reconcile transactions against a statement in addition to just reconciling from the bank feeds.

    There have been so many issues with bank feeds, that often we find the statement balance does not match Xero. The issue with running the reconciliation report is that some banks will have some transactions from the closing date in the current statement and some of them on the next statement.   7. Many of my clients complain that they 'can't find what they are looking for' when using the top search bar facility. I too often struggle to find things unless I am specific and know the exact detail of a posting. A search return of more options would be very beneficial listing all transactions in relation to any word or value typed into the search bar.

    Appreciate your feedback on search in Xero, Laura. When you say you'd like more options for search are than any specific fields of transactions that you and your clients might commonly search - this'll help when sharing back with the team. 

    If say, you'd search text generally in the description field of a transaction I'll merge your idea here in with this one where we can keep you all updated of any change all together. 

  8. Previously draft invoices would show up on the contact page for each contact. They don't show up any more? Hopefully this is not a new feature (bug) with the new invoicing? Creating a new invoice for a contact without being able to see a draft invoice already exists without having to go back to the draft invoice page is not efficient/

    Hi there, are you still noticing this behaviour? Having a test in the demo org, Draft invoices are shown in the Activity tab for a contact in both the All and Invoices tabs for transactions. If this is not the same behaviour that you're getting I'd recommend raising a case with our Xero Support team through Xero central who can get more detail to take a closer look into this with you 1-on-1. Thanks

  9. Ability to have the tax amount show on each line item and not just in the total below or even better so that sales tax automatically shows within the line item amount as per on screen, but when Printed to PDF it shows no Tax amounts per line.

    Please can we have the ability to change the settings on suppliers bills due date to move than 31 days of the following month. We have several suppliers where we do not need to pay until 60 days after the end of the month in which the bill is issued.

    Thanks for sharing here, Karen. To just get a better understanding would this be when creating a new bill, or perhaps a repeating bill? It'll be handy when sharing back with the team. 

    You could set up defaults in your Contacts to auto enter the due date for example as 60 days after the end of the invoice month, or similarly with a repeating bill you could set this up in the template.

    Hi Melanie, would be good to slightly understand your idea here better - when you say you'd like to update the Tracking Summary report by month, would this be to add comparative columns or just run the report for a month date range?

    The Blank report might also be useful here where you can add Tracking columns with the Layout editor and set up the report in the style you're after. Once all set up you could then save the report as Custom to easily access this when you like.

  13. It would be great to have the date of bank transactions as a criteria field when creating a rule. When we are paid by the ESFA, the amounts we receive at the beginning of the month have a different nominal to those received later in the month. In Sage we could set a rule as 'between 2 dates'

    Hi Sarah, when a bank rule is applied it'll use the date of the statement line to apply to the transaction it creates so you don't need to set this within the rule itself. Or are you saying you'd like to set the date of the transaction that's going to be created when the bank rule is applied?

    Hi everyone, thanks for sharing your support for part disposal of Fixed Assets in Xero.  Being transparent - current work for the team requires focus on upgrades to Fixed Asset technology.

  15. Multiple contacts on a Project. Projects can currenlty only be built and linked to 1 contact at a time. However. in terms of training and events where there could be multiple contacts linked this is an issue. If Xero could add the option for multiple contacts this would be great. It would save all my issues in terms of tracking a job.

    Hi Megan, when your talk about the training and events could you explain a bit more of your business flow when using Projects? 

    Atm, you can create bills and invoices for different contacts and associated these transactions with a single project.

  17. The filter right now only allows to select all or select/deselect some, but sometimes it would be easier to be able to just exclude something (an account, a group of accounts, a contact, an invoice etc).

    Hi Jim, sorry to hear the trouble Product Ideas is causing you. I'd like to look into this for you. Can you give more detail of where or how product ideas is blocking you off when trying to get to Xero/ If you have any screenshots this would help greatly in being able to investigate it. 

  19. New Account transaction report - remove the totals when generating the report for a single account.
    The new report adds a report total at the end of the selected accounts which is a total of the debit or credit transactions for 'all' accounts selected.
    When only one account is selected it still shows a total - this is in addition to the total for the transactions on the account itself so it shows total of transactions, closing balance and then total of transactions of all accounts selected. It would improve the usability of this report to have the 'overall total…

  20. There seems to be a lot of white space on each page. An accounting system really needs to show concise, compact, neat lines so it is easy to compare figures without having to scroll up and down all the time. I feel that Xero is more interested in the look of the screen, when really the information is the most important part of an accounting system.

    The important information seems to start half way down the screen!
