NZ Payroll: Generate and send payslips before posting pay run
Ability to email payslip before the pay run is posted. This way the employee can come back to the pay clerk with any feedback on hours or allowances before the pay run is completed and filed through to myir. The reduces the need to revert the pay run before the "final" posting and payment made to employees. Reverting the pay run impacts on IRD when IRD have begun their processing as they have to do a manual amendment to pick up any changes once the pay run is re-posted. UK Payroll - Ability to customise pension letters on Xero
For some clients we use Xero's Postponement and Eligibility letters. This has proved very useful but currently the letters cannot be customised.
We have a client for example who pays a higher employer contribution percentage than the standard. The letters however, only show the standard percentage's despite the settings being different to the standard. We also have a client who has asked for their company logo to be added to the letters.
After speaking with Xero Central I was informed that the letters currently cannot be customised and don't pull from the pension settings.
If this could be looked into…

AU Payroll - Pay increase reminder
It would be great if there was a prompt when an employee salary review or increase in salary is required by a particular date, rather than a separate diary entry.

Payroll (UK) - PAYE payment date set
Add a date option on the Taxes and Filings tab to add the PAYE payment date. This would easily show if the payment has already been set in advance without having to log into internet banking to double check.

AU Payroll: Hide Long service leave balance from ineligible employees
I would like to be able to select only certain employees and add LSL balances on their payslips rather than everyone in the organisation.
My point is, when we set a new employee we started calculating their LSL from day one but we do not necessarily want them to see the balances until they reach 5 or 10 year mark working for the company.
In this case, calculation of LSL is accurate as in 10 years times hours of employees can change btw full time/part time and so on.

AU Payroll - Include all-purpose allowances in shift loading
We pay our employees under the Electrical award which includes several compulsory 'All Purpose' allowances that are now reported separately as per STP2. When our staff are paid a shift loading, these allowances need to be included in the loading. I have to manually add the allowances into each all purpose loading (which is time consuming)
Can you please have an option to fix this in the pay items? There are certain allowances that have to be included in overtime, annual leave (which you have an option to include) but you dont have one for shift loading6 votes -
NZ Payroll - Support for voluntary employer Kiwisaver contributions
With the current financial climate, employees are suspending their KiwiSaver contributions. The Inland Revenue (IR) allows the Employer to continue with the company's contribution voluntarily.
At this stage, it is not 'officially' possible for the employer to contribute to KiwiSaver if the employee is on a Savings Suspension in Xero.The employee is on a Savings suspension, then the company cannot contribute either. Also, when on a savings suspension Xero requires an expiry date, IR does not always provide a date; instead, advising us when to recommence the KiwiSaver.

NZ Payroll: Reinstate terminated employees after 30 days
Ability in payroll to reinstate terminated employees past the 30 days Xero currently allows. Many businesses have seasonal workers or students who just work holidays, being able to reinstate the employee with all their information would be much easier than having to add them as a new employee every time they are re-employed. Most other payroll systems allow reinstatement of terminated employees.

Can we please add an ability to add a new employee who is still an "Australian Resident for Taxation Purposes" but residing overseas for twelve months? Can't presently add an international address.

NZ Payroll: Automatically calculate four-weekly ordinary hours
At the moment Xero Payroll calculates OWE by using information from the pay template only. Xero Payroll also recommends use of minimum hours as best practice, and allowing the hourly rate to lift if the average is higher than minimum hours. Works well. However, many employees have minimum hours and work more hours regularly, but they don't always work the same number, they might have periods of more work, and other periods of less. Payroll Report - Annual Payroll Summary
A year-end payroll report which lists the employees, and provides total amounts for Gross earnings, PAYE, and all other deductions for the financial year, with company totals at the bottom. Basically it could just be a one-page summary for the year, depending how many employees there are. Most other payroll systems have the report option, and it's very important for end of year wages reconciliations.

NZ Payroll: Set number of pay cycles for recurring payroll deductions
I need to be able to set a number of pays for recurring payroll deductions.
For example; my employee buys a laptop under salary sacrifice and wants to pay it back over a specified number of pay cycles.

Timesheets: Allow non-employees to submit timesheets for reimbursement
I think it would be great to have a submit for approval option in timesheets on the web version just like you can with invoices and bills. I am a third party bookkeeper and therefore Xero Me isn't really an option because, I am not an employee so I can't really use Xero me and if a timesheet is submitted by an employee, it has to be sent to me for approval for editing to ensure it comes through to payroll correctly for processing as an approved timesheet cannot be edited in payroll. Employee loans and advances should have the ability to add the gross amount starting date deduction amount this should then be reduced by each payment so the amount still owe can be seen at any time.

AU Payroll - Adding the USI to the Add Employee Superannuation Membership
When adding a new employee's super fund, being able to add the fund by entering the USI number.
If that can't be done, at least show the USI next to the super fund name so we can make sure we are selecting the correct super fund.

AU Payroll - Link deduction pay item to bank account
Please create a deduction for payroll that can be linked to a bank account. Currently deductions can only be managed via balance sheet and/or by adding reimbursement to enable it to be transferred via EFT. Quickbooks and some other payroll software have this ability and it makes life so much easier and clearer for the emlployee too.

AU Timesheets - Change time entries to four decimal places (up from two)
Change decimal places for hours to 4 decimal places instead of 2. When hours are imported from Tanda it shows errors, as Tanda exports to 4 decimal places for more accuracy
