  1. Have the ability to rename the PDF file attachment so when you update your system to send Estimates you can rename the PDF as they always get sent as quote and this is unable to be changed or you can have the PDF file name anything you like just having the option would be nice

  2. It would be great if we could code annual leave to another account code other than salary and wages. Currently we manually journal these costs to another account in the ledger to separate them. This helps with reporting wages like for like.

  5. It would be great to have the ability to edit Headings in Business Snapshot in Analytics-Plus as I work for a charity and having commercial terms (such as profit and loss) are not really helpful in a Charity setting.

    Hey everyone, we've been making some changes to improve NZ Payroll for Xero users.

    If you're just getting started with Xero (from 5 August 2024) you can now set up the Sick leave entitlement date for an employee.

    We know people in the idea here are existing payroll users and we can assure you we're working to also develop this for existing customers. There are a few more intricacies to work through from what already exists to the new. I'll be back to share when there's more news on this and when you can get access to this too. Thanks

  7. In the customer under account transactions it shows the list of invoices and payments. Against unallocated overpaymentsit shows the status of 'Awaiting Payment' why? we are not awaiting the payment it is shown there.

    Awaiting allocation maybe.

    Anyway this caused confusion for our sales guy who had goods arrive for a proforma customer, he saw 'Awaiting payment' and thought they had not yet paid so he did not ship the goods, (Accounts were not in to tell him) He did not see the words overpayment or even if he had, he was not accounts so would he understand it?   8. When using the Leave Paid out on Termination feature in xero, the paid out leave is recorded in the Holiday Leave Accrual category. This means we are unable to run a report showing the value of unused entitlements paid out on Termination. This is important information for Workcover Reconciliations etc. Please set up a report for Unused Leave Paid out on Termination.

  9. BETTER WORKFLOW FOR QUOTES/DELIVERIES/INVOICING:
    If we could get the actual flow for how the paperwork per Job can be produced!

    1.I always start with a QUOTATION: this doesn't always need to be sent to a customer at all as it could be raised by way of a telephone conversation, etc,et. This is logged as a Job manually in a Workbook.

  10. Ability to include a prediction date for the credit to be taken without allocating to an invoice as you can currently do with customer invoices.

  11. When merging customers xero currently completes the merge and then displays the profile that has been moved which typically (for me) contains no customer data. Is it possible to instead display the profile that the customer has been merged to which shows all the existing customer data. Usually I am completing a merge and then having to go in and search for the customer name again.

  12. When using the Xero app from your phone, to have the Purchase Order numbers auto generate the number.
    Currently, we have to look back and previous purchases to find the last used PO....unless you have a great memory. And then, while creating a new purchase order, we have to enter the new number.
    Currently, we also need to select as an optional detail, the order number. It would be nice if the app created a new PO number, sequentially from the previous PO issued.

  13. VAT201 Report - PDF link to scanned tax invoices. It will be great to have a PDF link to scanned invoices attached to bills and invoices in the transaction by field number report. It will be easier and save time to download and save from this screen, instead of opening the actual bill or invoice in order to download attached documents for upload on SARS efiling for VAT verification/audit.

  14. Bank Reconciliation suggestions. The ability for Xero to identify a name within a customer contact and match it to the name on the bank feed and suggest this as a match. for example John Smith is the contact for ABC pty ltd. when he makes payment he only references John Smith. Xero will recognise John smith is a contact for ABC pty ltd and suggest their invoice in the bank rec.

  15. Currently when we are submitting expense claims we have to scroll through all our past projects to find the project we need to assign an expense to. We would like a simple search bar placed at the top of this list so we can start typing and the relevant projects will come up as an option.

  16. I have different managers responsible for different employee timesheets so therefore I would really like the ability to authorise specific managers to employees. Am still using mostly paper timesheets because of the massive deficiencies in the XeroMe ones (think is one of the many reasons).
    I don't think its appropriate that anyone authorised can access all timesheets as it does nothing but create confusion and the potential to authorise the wrong ones. Also unnecessarily time consuming.

    Is it possible to please add some tickboxes/controls to remove this hurdle?

  17. We have several earnings rates Eg. Normal Time, Saturday, Sunday, etc and for each earnings type, there are several rates. We have these set up in Xero and they display in Alphabetical order under 'Pay Items'.

    However, when staff are completing their timesheets in Xero Me, all of the earnings rates are out of order (in fact they are in no particular order!) which makes it very hard for employees to complete their timesheets correctly. We have over 45 staff and approximately 30 earnings rates, therefore having them in random order in Xero Me causes many timesheet errors.

  20. Hi

    I would like a feature in the short term cash flow where when a repeated manual entry transaction is made that you can edit only one instance like a repeated meeting in outlook.
    An example is that i have made a regular Money In transaction yet i cannot remove a single instance when the actual invoice is created and i am overstating incoming revenue.
