  2. The edit contact format has recently been changed and I now have to click through multiple tabs to edit and view contact info. This is much more time consuming. I would like to be able to edit and view all contact info on one page.

    Thank you for all your feedback and impressions of the new contacts add/edit screen.  
    We can ensure you that the team's designs and flows were thoroughly tested with customers prior to release and there were strategic reasons for why things were designed the way they were. Still, sometimes things are picked up through the release of change to a full page like this, and it's been really good to get feedback from our community to help highlight areas of attention and opportunity.
    The team have made changes that will have resolved some points raised in feedback here and we’ve noted these below;

    • ABN field now sits above the ACN field within Contact details
    • Change to the requirements for entry of bank details so you can input data the way you’d prefer (this should have also resolved issues with processing of batch payments)

    Hi everyone, we appreciate wanting an update on multiple addresses.  

    As many will know here this idea requires a complex solution. We have 12 different products within Xero that rely on contact data as well as many of our app partners. This means that contacts need to seamlessly flow across technology, products and all connections on Xero.


    To build multiple addresses, we need to upgrade the technology across all these areas at Xero to make it feasible. However, as you’ll have experienced in some areas already, it's good that the work is well-underway now.

    Recent change to Contacts reaches a milestone on our work beneath the surface to upgrade and prepare these products for new features. You’ll see more upgrades happening across Xero that’ll continue to help enable this work.

    Hi everyone, thanks for joining and supporting this idea.

    We understand there are a few different use cases for why you'd like to attach a file to an asset within the Fixed Assets register, as well as transactions themselves.


    To be upfront our team's current focus, like many areas of Xero, is on upgrading Fixed Asset technology, as we build greater consistency between Xero experiences, making it easier to learn and navigate Xero. Some of these changes may seem minor, but are critical in terms of delivering new and exciting value later on.

    That being said, our team is researching what comes next and this is a focus because it is the most supported idea for Fixed Assets right now.

  5. Xero - in employee section and only those with payroll admin rights can upload notes/documents such as medical certificates/TFN forms/super choice forms etc in the notes section to be able to track this better and with relevant payruns as well

  7. It would be great if we could add ageing on client/customer statements. (Current, 30, 60, 90 days) Many clients have requested that the ageing be displayed on their statements. Current, overdue and total isn't detailed enough..

    Hi everyone, thanks for your inputs and support in this idea overtime.  It makes sense that we should have a mechanism that allows our very own subscription invoices be automatically recorded to Xero with ease.

    We've been developing Xero's automation capabilities and as part of this work the team are working on a new flow that'll enable businesses in AU, NZ and Singapore to opt into having their monthly Xero subscription bill sent as an eInvoice directly into their draft bills. 

    As we get to final stages I'll return to share when businesses registered for eInvoicing can take advantage of this feature. 🙂

    Hi everyone, appreciate the support in the ability to auto add interest to an invoice that's gone past it's due date.

    While we understand how this feature would help automate and create more efficient processes, focus for the team at present is completing technology upgrades across features in Sales.

  13. At the moment, you need to raise a credit note to write off a bad debt, which then records the invoice as "paid" which is extremely irksome, and factually incorrect. There needs to be an actual "write off" option so that the debts don't show up constantly in your reports and you can claim a tax deduction for them, but they don't get recorded as paid.

    Hi community, thanks for showing your support and sharing detail of how assigning bills to a project would be beneficial to you.

    Being something we've received a fair bit of support for - our product teams have started exploring how this could be accomplished and where it'd best fit in Xero.

    Early stages, but with progress we'll move to 'Under review' and keep you looped in on the teams discovery. We'll share more as they move through this work.

  15. We desperately need an audit trail report available for advisors.

    I think it would be sufficient to have the below added to the account transactions report style (but named as Audit Trail):
    1 - the ability to include an 'edited date' column
    2 - the ability to include a 'notes' column
    3 - a tick box to show/hide audit trail history (so voids would show as separate creation and void lines netting off, not just removal of the original transaction)
    4 - a unique un-editable transaction identifier for all transactions, not just bills/invoices

    Thanks for all the support for this idea, everyone. We can see the value that making this change would make, and right now, we do have a team focused on this space working to upgrade its technology and UI. 

    However, at this time, there are no plans for adding Credit Notes to find & match. 

    As this work continues the team are considering how we build this with flexibility and capabilities to make changes like what’s being asked here possible in the future.

    We appreciate all the feedback received through this idea, everyone. Taking on board all your comments there are two sides of the fence when looking at flagging an invoice as 'in dispute' - Looking at the ability to flag a bill/supplier invoice as 'in dispute', versus the ability to flag a customer invoice as 'in dispute'.

    It'd be good to get understanding of the interest in each individually so we've started a new idea for bills that you can add your support for.

    But to give clarity, currently we do not have plans for developing a flag for bills, or sales invoices.

    For those looking for this feature in sales invoice although not specific to each invoice, you may be able to make use of Credit Limits - Find out more and explore how to set up a limit for your customers through Xero Central.

  18. Add feature to automatically follow up on quotes / send quote reminder *days before expiry or *days after quote issued — as there is with invoices. This feature comes standard with most other quoting interfaces.

    Hi everyone, over the recent months you’ll have experienced some of the change coming in Contacts with the new Contacts list view that was released in 2021


    We’re still working heavily in this space and the team have been continuing to iterate on the List View page and developing the Create/Edit view for a contact. 


    While foundational work is the primary focus for the team at present, new functionality like notes as you’re asking here aren’t in scope yet.  

    Keep sharing interest and feedback, so we can continue to consider as opportunity arises.
