  1. It would be great if in Xero Blue you could see from the contact profile that they have a credit instead of money owed $0.00.

    It would also be helpful if when creating and invoice or before sending the invoice if a pop up appeared advising the client has credit and asking if you would like to use it.

    Also having the ability to transfer credit between groups/entities would be helpful. At the moment if someone has a credit note against one entity we need to reverse the credit note and reprocess it under the entity you want to credit.

    Thanks for your feedback here. Currently when you create a credit note/overpayment the balance is reflected in the contacts record. This shows as a negative value in the list of the customer's invoices.

    With new invoicing, if you create an invoice for a contact that has outstanding credit, you'll be asked if you'd like to allocate this credit once the invoice has been approved. You'll also see the available credit and option to apply each time you view an approved invoice. 

    While it's not possible to allocate credit from one contact to another you could edit an existing credit note to change the contact without having to recreate it from scratch. 

  2. Xero is very limited by only allowing 200 invoices to show on the page on the awaiting payment screen - a filter to exclude some clients based on the client type would be helpful
    e.g. creating a client type for direct debit payments would help reduce the number of invoices.

  3. I would like to visualise how draft bills and invoices affect my cashflow, something which I know is not possible at the moment. This would allow me to predict how multiple open quotes & projects could affect my financing requirements. Could this be added in future?

  4. Direct Payments - Change of status - Scheduled to Paid

    Currently within 'Manage direct payments' the Status doesn't change on future dated payments once they've been paid. ie. Once a scheduled payment is made change the status to PAID.

  5. It would be useful to add possibility of using long figures of quantity when entering inventory transactions. For now only 4 decimals are allowed. On practice it would be great if up to 10 would be possible.

  6. I propose adding contact account numbers to account transaction reports in Xero. This enhancement will enable users to easily link and reconcile transactions with specific contacts, even when working with downloaded data in formats like Excel.

  7. When using the Xero app from your phone, to have the Purchase Order numbers auto generate the number.
    Currently, we have to look back and previous purchases to find the last used PO....unless you have a great memory. And then, while creating a new purchase order, we have to enter the new number.
    Currently, we also need to select as an optional detail, the order number. It would be nice if the app created a new PO number, sequentially from the previous PO issued.

When the invoice has been approved and need to be emailed, the side by side view is great but I would like to see the invoice amount ex VAT, not the total of the invoice and it would be good to see all the body of the invoice as well, not just saying there are more items, you cant even click on it to see

  9. Hi

    I would like a feature in the short term cash flow where when a repeated manual entry transaction is made that you can edit only one instance like a repeated meeting in outlook.
    An example is that i have made a regular Money In transaction yet i cannot remove a single instance when the actual invoice is created and i am overstating incoming revenue.

  10. Ability to draft future payruns - ie more than 1 darft payrun. Especially at Christmas time. I would like to draft up future payruns before Igo on leave, but still have the ability to adjust this week payrun for overtime etc. At the moment I can't move forward until I complete current payrun. or i have to do un unscheduled payrun to fix it. Very time consuming

    Thank you for your feedback in product ideas, everyone. With our payroll products being regional changes are generally developed in each separately.

    We have slightly changed the idea here to reflect the desire for this in AU Payroll, and have created a separate one across here for NZ Payroll.

    While there are no plans for developing this within our AU Payroll product right now, we'll continue to track the interest from you all here, and update if there is any change planned.

  11. Allocate specific tracking categories to transactions instead of showing every category when a transaction is created.

    Currently all tracking categories show when creating a new spend/receive money. In our business one of these categories is used for timesheets only. I would like the option to be able to choose which tracking categories display when creating new spend/receive money transactions in Xero, in the same way that I am able to do this for payroll and on invoicing.

  13. It would be nice to have an option in the invoices settings to have approved invoices automatically marked as sent.
    This would be mainly for users that send their invoices with another program, so the invoices they enter in Xero are always sent.

  14. It would be good to see the number of notes in the Notes Tab (perhaps in brackets, for example: 'Notes (2)'), so you can see at a glance, if there are any notes for the Employee and if yes, how many.

  15. When a leave request comes in for approval and the employee can take leave in advance (the box is ticked), it should show you how many hours the employee has available. This amount should be the number available minus the leave balance that has already been approved in the system. The leave balance report is only useful when employees can't take leave in advance in their first year.   17. We have a 2 year old issue where we changed an employee end date then reverted a payrun. HMRC has not recognised the revertion or that the resubmission is the same data so we have a duplicate that we haven't been able to sort out.
    To avoid this pain for others, could there be a pop-up warning if someone tries to revert (or otherwise change) a payrun where an included employee has an end date set? Or if the end date has been changed? The details of how it works can be as is easiest to implement.

  18. Dear Xero product team,

    Please could we have an option to Password protect Lock Dates.

    Where certain user can only unlok Lock dates i.e. Accountants or Subscriber

    At the moment anyone can unlock the Lock dates which defeats the purpose of the Lock Dates.

    We appreciate the interest gathered on this idea, everyone. At this time we don't have any immediate changes planned for lock dates, but as we continue to develop parts of Xero this is something we'll consider as a possible enhancement for lock dates. If there's any news I'll be sure to update you here.

  19. When a customer pays, could the find and match box show outstanding invoices for that customer instead of all customer outstanding invoices? It would speed up matching the payment

    Not an idea I've seen raised yet, Lisa. Can see how this may be helpful when you have many invoices entered in your org. It's not something we have any plans around at present but we'll track the interest here and share if there's news.

  20. To create a credit note from an invoice without applying it to the invoice.
    Currently the only option is ‘create and apply credit’.
    We refund first then generate the credit note. So we need to allocate the invoice to the customer receipt, then allocate the repayment to the credit note.

    Generally this is a time saving mechanism, not having to then apply the credit to the invoice. Appreciate the detail of your workflow Susan, as definitely makes sense in what you're trying to do here. 

    We'll start to get a feel for the interest around this here, and in the meantime - Not sure if it still suits your flow however if viewing invoices from the Awaiting Payments list, if you don't need to open the invoice, you could use the 'New Credit Note' option from here.
