New invoicing - Auto adjust the column width when additional columns are added
On the new invoicing, when additional columns are selected, a scrollbar is added to the invoice layout and interrupts the smooth capture process. Having to manually scroll from one side to the other to view details is not ideal.
Consider either auto-adjusting the column widths or allow for the automatic expansion of the invoice layout width when additional columns are selected. This way, users could view all necessary details without the need for manual scrolling.

We appreciate everyone's patience as we developed this work. I'm now pleased to share that we've released a new line item grid within invoicing that embodies a lot of changes our customers have been asking for. Most importantly to the idea here, our teams have optimised the padding, text size and columns width to make this more compact so you can see more detail without the need to scroll.
You'll also find that all fields now wrap rather than truncating so you can see all the detail of your cell. Thank you all for contributing and engaging with us, here.

New Invoicing - Column Width or Wrap Text
In old invoicing the Account and Tax Rate columns were wide enough and/or the text wrapped so you could see the whole thing on the screen.
In new invoicing, that does not happen. I have 2 tax rates for each customer, taxable and non-taxable. When I tab into that box, I can select the correct tax rate, but I can not see it on the screen to double check I have selected the correct one.
The screenshots show the differences. One line has the taxable rate and 2 lines have the non-taxable rate for the locality.

Agreed. And bring back the grid lines too when you click on an invoice. It's very difficult to check rows without it. I know the grid lines appear when you edit an invoice, but sometimes you just want to view an invoice without editing it.

Agree with the comment by Emilie Lambert that made the suggestion. We validate our commissions with respect to account it books to, and sales rep (one of the tracking categories we use), and spotting error is difficult with the new format of invoicing

On classic invoicing, it was very easy to spot errors on account, VAT rate or tracking category due to the tabular format on the input/view page. The new invoicing page format makes it very hard to spot, as these things are now hidden under the description of the item, in a smaller text.

The new invoicing uses a larger font on the screen. I suggest setting the font to the same as classic invoicing and having column size to suit. Or allow user setting of font / column size. This would reduce the need for manual scrolling. The manual scrolling is annoying because we cannot see all line information at once.

With dynamic website technology these days it should be autofit for any screen as a standard feature. Or we want the old version to stay.

Can the display width of the invoice items be adjusted to fit the screen. For example: Lengthen the date, hide or shorten Expected Date, hide empty spaces...
