  2. There is the option of adding Groups as a taxable group, however if the option is not selected client members of that group still pull through as related parties when adding a new return. The ability to use multiple Groups would be a great driver for "advisory" automations in 3rd party software if it didn't have that adverse outcome. Enhancement request - adding a tax return the related clients should only pull through members of the taxable group and exclude members of the "advisory" group.

  3. Currently the apportionment percentage for the rental is calculated for all income and expenses. However, in reality this is not always the situation. Sage has the ability to change the apportionment of each expense individually as well which is very useful, time-saving and error reducing.

  4. Add a note function to each account. Similar to the queries button but just for general notes about what's in the account that doesn't need a resolution. This would be helpful near the account rather then just at the start in the job note section as it would allow quick access for others to see the note when looking at the specific account.

  6. The current sync of "clients" from XPM to "contacts" of the practice Xero Blue file only updates when an invoice is sent across.

    Surely this could be made into an immediate sync, or at the very least an overnight sync?

    Given XPM doesn't integrate with a whole lot of software and doesn't integrate with Zapier, many add-ons practices use are linked with the Xero Blue file and require that data to be accurate. Debtor collection software for example, marketing software, etc, all require contact details to be accurate, and if clients change details, there can be a large delay before…

    Appreciate your feedback on the idea here. As a grounds to start from we thought it would help to confirm;

    • There is a two way sync of your clients between Practice Manager and your practice Xero organisation Contacts
    • The sync between XPM and your practice Xero organisation contacts is different - we’ve explained this more below


    Differences between Xero Practice Manager(XPM) and your practice Xero organisation sync

    • Client will sync with your organisation’s Contacts depending on your Xero connection setup - more on Xero Central
      • This is controlled by users with the Administrator role and can be set to ‘Never’, ‘Only when uploading invoices’ or ‘Every time client or supplier details are updated’

  8. allow quantities to be added direclty to the ledger and then to feed into reporting templates. manualy entered reporting data is fraught with danger and history is lost from year to year, which means we are replugging data every year...current "semi-automated" practice doesnt seem to fit with xero ethos

  10. Re Managed fund distribution worksheet, the field 'Current year capital gains - Discount method (Grossed-up amount)' was prefilled incorrectly.

    It's prefilled with net amount instead of the grossed-up one, results in validation error, need to manually edited it.

    It could be great if xero can fix this, thanks :)

    In Xero HQ as a partner we have the ability to create report packages however it is only for use within our practice, it would be really helpful if we had the option to share these with our clients.

  14. It would be good to have a version of the "Partnership and trust" worksheet from the individual tax return in the CTR as well. This would make it significantly easier to enter the correct amounts at 6D and 6E.

    Having the appropriate amounts entered in the worksheet flow through to the capital gains schedule and the franking credits section of the calculation statement would also be advantageous as it would remove a lot of manual work associated with these items.

  17. To be able to duplicate a contact, therefore not having to retype in the address, phone number and all other details. You would just need to rename the client and change the IRD number etc before saving. This would be a huge time saver.

    Just to clarify, when you say ‘duplicate a contact’ would this be; the ability to duplicate an entire client (including all its contacts), to duplicate a contact within an existing client, or duplicate a contact from one client to another?

    If the last, we have a similar idea over here that I can join you in with. 🙂

  18. Have the ability to send a copy of the actual message/links sent to a client to our own email when we we send something for e-signing via Xero Sign. Adobe sign has this option.
    This would help us because:
    1. It is a professional requirement to keep a copy of all correspondence sent to clients.
    2. It also would help when they call and have a question about what to do if you could have the exact copy in front of you to step it through with them.

  19. Hubdoc - Allow Hubdoc to read a link in the email.

    When invoices are received via email and the invoice is not attached, but there is a link to open the invoice and save as a PDF. Alot of clients on Xero send their invoices this way. Would be good if either in Xero or Hubdoc you could read the invoice.

  20. Hubdoc should automatically correct the rotation of documents. Sometimes, particularly for photographs, documents are uploaded with incorrect rotation. Hubdoc must know the correct rotation because it is scanning the text. Why not fix the rotation so that the text is the right way up?
