  1. According to Tier 3 (NFP) Standard A19, the performance report should show the entity name, reporting period, and rounding level at the top of each page.

    Please add this function that we can edit the headings on reports in a report template.

  2. I'd like to propose that Xero develop a built-in feature for charging interest on overdue customer accounts that doesn't require creating sales invoices.

    Current Limitation:
    Currently, the only way to charge interest on overdue accounts is by creating an invoice, which records the interest as sales revenue. This creates accounting challenges because:

    • Interest on overdue accounts is not sales revenue from our core business operations It should ideally be classified as "Other Income" or "Finance Income"
    • This affects the accuracy of sales reporting and financial analysis
    • It requires workarounds or third-party apps from the Xero App Store (at additional cost)

  4. When in a contact and you look at the entries could the spend money entries show at the side if the invoice has been attached ~ at the moment I have to open each entry to check this?
    Currently, this isn't a feature in Xero, which means each Spend Money transaction needs to be checked individually, especially with EFTPOS card sales where a reference can't be entered.

It would be great if the tax returns had a table to allocate income and tax credits to partners, or at least be able to export to excel to see where errors are or rounding adjustments required are. I have a partnership with over 30 partners. Total nightmare! And no, the % split function does not work acurately enough when there are that many partners

  6. Xero have changed the files section and now there is inbox and then archive. All the previous folders clients have are now in the archive section. In order to file something in a folder they now need to move it to the archive section which as this shows all documents, they then have to find the document again and then tick it and use the move to button to move it to the chosen folder. Xero need to add the move to button to the inbox screen otherwise clients are having to do multiple clicks again to move the documents.…

  7. In the Activity Statement screen, in the transaction detail, the contact column should be in there so we can sort per contact and analyze the contact's gst application consistency. This is very beneficial in terms of reviewer task.

  9. When XPM search finds a client, you can click the arrow > to the right of a result to view the client's name, basic contact details, enter time, etc. For clients that have a linked Xero file, it would be great to be able to click "Go to Xero" from here as well.

  11. Please can you make it possible to add manual transactions to the "tax statement" that will show up in the tax return.

    We often did this with MYOB, eg. adding a penalty that we know will be charged after the tax return has been filed, or changing a late filing penalty from $50 to $250 if the client's income is more than $100k (as this will be updated at IRD after the return is filed).

    At the moment it looks like we can only edit the pdf which is very disappointing...

  12. In APS you have the ability to live synch the tax ledger. As an example a transfer to 2025 from 2024 income tax made today won't show until the next day in the tax return summary.
    A synch button to do this would be helpful and save time from stopping the job until the next day to print/save

  13. Be able to expand or reduce the size of a column in the depreciation schedule.
    We are finding when we add extra columns it is making the depreciation method column really large and you cant adjust it. Making the page stretched across longer that it needs to be.

    After some testing, we discovered that downloading the file in Excel or Google Sheets format and then saving it as a PDF reduces the column size. While this may not be ideal, it can serve as a temporary workaround.

  14. Add a next button to the managed fund distribution page in xero tax.

    When a client has 10 or 15 managed fund distributions that have imported from the pre-fill you have to go back and click on the next one and it is hard to keep track that you have reviewed every single one. (And deleted the 0's this is a separate idea)

    If there was a next button so you can just start at the top and work your way through all the distributions to review them it would make this much easier.

  15. Is it possible to give a 'grace' period when the payroll subscription limit has been reached. It can be quite stressfully for clients when they are trying to post a payroll and need to contact the subscriber to update the file. In most case the subscriber is the accountant and if they are unavailable or it is outside of work hours, they will not be able to post payrun. A Grace period would allow them to post the payrun and have until the following payrun to arrange a file upgrade

  16. Suggested improvements to Receivable Invoice Detail - Top Customers report.

    The definition of this report is attached. It provides a list of sales invoices and credit notes by contact.

    There are two issues with this report:

    1) If a customer has an overpayment on their account, the report incorrectly treats this cash payment as a sales credit note and reduces the customer's sales figure by the overpayment. Please can this report be corrected to only include sales invoices and sales credit notes? Thank you.

  17. Box 29 of the IR10 should match the taxable income per the main income tax return (IR3, IR4, IR6, IR7, etc).

    It would be helpful if when running an audit check on a tax return, XPM checks to see whether they match and notifies us when it does not match.

  18. The Xero XPM system calculates GST for each task being billed, but it doesn’t have a total GST check at the invoice level. As a result, some invoices with round billed amounts—such as $30,000—end up with incorrectly rounded GST, for example, $2,999.99. Xero calculates GST on each line item of invoices and other transactions, rounding to the nearest cent. The total GST is then the sum of these individual line calculations, which can sometimes lead to small discrepancies in the overall GST amount.

  19. When converting a pdf to csv, the platform will high-light the extracted lines so that you can see any MISSED lines that you need to manually add to the csv before importing. If you leave that screen, however, and proceed to download your csv, those high-lights disappear and you have no way to get them back. There should be a way to download the high-lighted pdf, get the high-lights back, or at the very least a warning to the user to capture this data now or lose it forever once you proceed to download your csv.

  20. Whenever a link is attached in Xero Workpapers, and that link changes or gets deleted, there should be an option to simply edit or replace the existing link — instead of having to delete it and add a new one each time. The current process causes unnecessary delays when preparing workpapers.

    Hi team, I’ve got some updates on the Edit Link - Not Delete Right Away feature for Xero Workpapers. This is a confirmed feature for the new Xero Workpapers solution and is currently in development as part of the new Workpapers solution being developed in partnership with BGL and in the upcoming roadmap. The goal is to address a major workflow pain point that was raised directly from customer feedback. The plan is for a phased rollout, starting with Australia in FY26, Updates on the release will be shared through the Xero blog as we get closer to launch. This feature is part of a broader set of improvements focused on enhancing review, collaboration, and compliance within the new platform. ⭐
