  1. Removal of 'completed' jobs from the job list when preparing an invoice in XPM.

    Sometimes we invoice a parent client with multiple entities jobs appearing and this can be very hard to navigate when looking for current jobs to invoice - even if the status is marked to be invoiced. It would be more efficient if completed jobs just didn't appear in the list.

  2. Debit card transactions are not needed to be reported on 1099s. When using bank feeds in checking accounts it does not distinguish debit card vs check. I suggest there be a option to identify debit card vs checks so the debit card activity is not automatically added the the 1099 reporting.

  5. It would be great to be able to set up Security Groups with permissions set for each group, which is then applied to each staff member by adding the Staff to that Security Group.

    This way, if a permission needs to be changed for a group of Staff, it can be done at the security group level rather than having to click into each Staff member and edit their individual permissions - which can create inconsistencies and easily miss settings when dealing with a large number of Staff.

  6. XPM include archived clients in XERO search / list endpoints. Similarly, to how contacts in the accounting API are handled by passing the includeArchived=true query. This will allow clients from XPM with a status of ARCHIVED to be included in the response.

  7. Xero Practice Manager Timesheet upload. We have staff that complete the same administrative tasks each day every week for up to 50 clients a day. Entering these times in XPM is extremely time consuming and the time spent rarely changes. It would be extremely useful to be able to import a timesheet template with set clients/tasks/times. Then they only have to make modifications to timesheets. This would reduce time entry burden by two or three hours per week.

  8. Have logged this support query, which I also raised a number of years ago and cannot believe how this has not been fixed. Answer from support below:

    In XPM there is no first and last name field for contacts, rather it is just one box for the Name field. While in Xero there are two fields to put a contacts first and last name separately.

    So when a contact on a client syncs from XPM into Xero it is placed into the Last Name field as it recognises the name as one field. Currently, the only way to resolve this…

  9. We can search by client. We can search by group (if using group='name'), but we can't search or filter by billing clients. This would be handy to see this option in the WIP menu so all related jobs to that billing client are presented for drafting invoices. Currently the only means to achieve this is via the Business>Invoice menu but the job and WIP display is not as ideal or helpful.

  10. Can we please customise client page on XPM to add EMAIL.. We currently see the Client NAME, PH NUMBER, and ADDRESS. Can we please add EMAIL to the page?
    It would cut out alot time opening each page if we had some flexibility to simply add the email address column on the first page.

  11. I'm looking for a report that shows me job workflow state changes. I'm sure XPM stores this data, but doesn't seem to report on it anywhere.

    Essentially, I'd like (for jobs that meet some search criteria, creation date or job name or whatever else):

    State changed date
    State changed from
    State changed to
    State changed by user

    This is effectively an audit trail on the progress of a job (or ideally, multiple jobs). The fact this can't currently be done (unless Xero Support has pointed me wrong, in which case please do correct me!) is mind blowing!

  13. We have an abundance of deregistered clients/entities in our client list. We would like the option of archiving these clients, but if they are still linked through the group, then they still show up under the group profile - but maybe in a separate section, so the group profile could list current clients and archived clients.

    Ideally, we want to archive them because they aren't an existing client anymore, however, we would still like them to be visible/searchable with the client data, so we can see their historical entities and for other reasons.

  15. In XPM Report Builder, for "Monthly Summary" report types, there needs to be an option added for 12 months of data to report.

    This would allow a full financial year's worth of data to be summarised monthly where required.

  17. An easier way to schedule tasks. A lot of my clients create annual jobs with lots of tasks and want to be able to schedule tasks in the same way you can allocate staff. You hit a button and schedule all the tasks in a list with assignable start and due dates. I have more than 40 clients that I am doing implementation and training and XPM support for, and all of them has asked me for an easier way to do task scheduling.
