When working on Shareholder Current Accounts - How can we make 'Shareholder' retain the new titles we give them eg Shareholder 1 - J Bloggs Shareholder 2 -T Bloggs each year we open up a new workpaper we have to key in the titles all over again. We use the 'Trial Balance - Edit' There may be a place we can go to to make the titles retain and would love to know how. If not perhaps something your team could work on.

  2. User & Approval - Having a user that can upload documents & code them. Save the changes but not publish to Xero. Bookkeeper can then check the coding is correct before publishing to Xero or having a approval process where the document is sent to be approved before publishing to Xero, and this would work for purchase orders, invoices & receipts

Xero tax software needs to be amended so that a provisional tax payment requested based on the previous year plus 10% shows up as the first installment of provisional tax due in the xero tax return even though the client hasn't made the payment but is required to have paid by the 1st provisional tax date. At present shows as 0.00 which is incorrect based on the inland revenue rules. So at present have to copy the tax return to a pdf export to word and then manually amended the tax return to show the correct tax payment that was…

  4. when the cost was initially onboarded in XPM, the costing was not properly setup. Upon turnover to me, I noticed it automatically when exporting reports that the cost don't have figures on it. Upon updating the staff cost (manually PER EMPLOYEE profile), it still won't reflect in the previous periods prior to the input of the staff cost.

  5. When will we have an option to update all client emails/phone numbers at the same time?
    It would be really helpful if the system would search for all 'same' emails or phone numbers and allow for these all to be updated/amended.

  6. Would be great if we could sort by staff in the WIP Ledger reports. We can select staff it in the fields but not criteria. Would be good to provide reports to managers for their staff only.

  11. We have a number of firm incentives for both partners and managers relating to their individual client portfolios. An ability to review their control of WIP, billings and receipts should not be a major effort. Or is Pulse the answer?

  12. The current livestock schedule in trust tax return (and probably others) is insufficient.

    We calculate livestock on Market Value in the Financials and inset these figures into the Tax Return, then use the Reconciliation area to bring it back to Average Cost.

    This worked perfectly fine in MYOB Tax, as we could overwrite the average cost calculation in the livestock trading schedule. However in Xero Tax we can't overwrite the closing stock value.

  14. Id like to have a placeholder for the prior period when using the recurring jobs function.
    When you complete a bookkeeping job you are doing this on prior period data so the recurring job functionality to use 'period' is not useful as it creates the workflow job a week in advance.

  15. Xero workpapers should change depending on entity type selected. It appears that the selection of entity type in workpapers only serves to customise the query gallery and has no bearing on the actual workpapers created. An number of examples of this can be seen whereby selecting the trust entity type, the workpaper pack incorrectly contains M & M2 imputation credits, N Shareholders Current Account should be named N Beneficiary Current Account, and most significantly L - Income Tax does not contain a defined field for tax credits allocated on beneficiary income (instead users are having to use the free form…

  17. Mapping - Xero Tax (AU) - Ability to map accounts to more than one field on the tax return.
    ie Wages are included at P8 as a business expense but also needs to be reported at P15.
    It needs to be manually entered at P15, this should be automatically mapped.

  18. New Job Manager Budget % - base on $ not time.
    Please give us the option to set the budget % based on the fee not time.

    As our jobs are created though the Ignition integration, our fee budget $ is prefilled. We don't set the time budget as this would be a very manual process.

  19. It should be possible to manually add tax payments made by a client to IRD. This is critical for a tax accountant like myself who is not a registered tax agent and therefore is unable to link and download details from IRD. This facility would make the practice manager more appealing to a wider range of users.
