XPM - Detect family group address changes and update all member records
I have a client family group with 4 people which lives at the same address and now they moved house, so I need to update their address in the system. Instead of updating the address for each individual, I am sure there is a way to prompt the system to detects this old address in XPM, it will then prompt me to change for all of them. I have seen this function when I was using the Solution 6 system about 15 years ago, so I am sure it is do-able.

Just checking, the steps below are not applicable here?
From our Change the address for all clients in a group article:
- Select Clients, then select the Groups tab.
- Click the name of the group, then click on one of the clients in the group.
- Click Options, then select Edit.
- Under Contact Details, edit the address details, then click Save.
- Click Update Related Clients' addresses
- (Optional) Click All Related Clients to filter related clients by relationships or group members. The filter only shows if the client has at least one relationship set up and is also a member of at least one group.
- Select the checkbox for each address you want to change, then click Update.

Practice Manager - Automatic time tracking by client
Xero to automatically log the time you spend in each client and summarise monthly/ average 12 monthly.
No stop/start. 10 minute auto logout.
Advantages: no additional work for the user

Practice Manager | Group Profile - Select & view group information
Would love to see features to the group profile. Even if they were custom tabs from the business settings (so it applies to all groups). Some ideas are:
Group information - could be a list of the clients and their partner, manager, class, etc (would be great if each firm could select what client details they want to include from their business settings).
Client Fees - could use this section to add services, fees and notes for each client, and then have this total per service, client and group. This way you can update on the go and see the…

Practice Manager - Option to exclude 'completed' from job list
Removal of 'completed' jobs from the job list when preparing an invoice in XPM.
Sometimes we invoice a parent client with multiple entities jobs appearing and this can be very hard to navigate when looking for current jobs to invoice - even if the status is marked to be invoiced. It would be more efficient if completed jobs just didn't appear in the list.

XPM - Set custom fields to show for specific client types
The ability to have certain custom fields show up for specific client types.
For example a "Rental Property" custom field only showing up on the "Individual" clients. Currently this would show up on all clients.
Given that so many different reports can be created from the custom fields, it would be extremely helpful to have only the relevant fields displayed on the relevant client type/structure.

Xero Practice Manager - Create recurring job from existing task
Able to create recurring tasks from an existing task.
Purpose: It’s easier to just create a recurring job from an existing job, rather than creating a new job.

Automatically update the amount in the upper corner when editing a bill
I often have a draft bill for recurring expenses that I need to edit. When I update the amounts, it updates the total on the bottom, but it doesn't update the amount in the upper right corner (why not?), so I have to edit that as well. This creates another keystroke and mouse move that is annoying. What is the purpose of that total remaining the same after I have made the other changes? It should update automatically.

Would like the ability to run a report with any fields that are available for the client - not be limited because a certain field is tagged as a job or tax field. Example is having a report with client, job and tax fields all listed

Currently only have a shortcut for search (forward slash) in XPM, would like more shortcuts (like there are in Blue Xero) - eg:

1 voteHi Debbie, the 'waiting approval' report only contains unapproved letters. And the field you've references would only contain payments 'since approval' so even if included, would always be 0.00.
Could you share a little detail of any underlying pain point you're looking for this idea to help you solve? It'd help in sharing back with the team and considering how this could be tackled. Thanks!

XPM - Separate set of state for different jobs
Improving XPM Workflow Capabilites with Seperate & Specific Job States & Automation Triggers
Seperate set of state for different job templates/workflows. XPM currently only has one set of job states. there should be the ability to have multiple for different jobs. These states should also be able to be transferred into a kanban board view and when the job state is changed either by drag & drop or dropdown certain automated actions should be triggered such as automated emails or deploying client or internal forms to be completed etc. At the moment the XPM's workflow capabiliteis are extremely limited.

XPM - Able to enter leave by selecting a start and end date
In Xero Practice Manager's dashboard be able to enter leave by selecting a start and end date. So we do not have to enter each day one at a time, especially when you have long service leave to enter! This is extremely time consuming and irksome.

XPM - Ability to change to-do list
Many of the to-do items under tasks aren't useful or applicable to us. We would love the ability to add meaningful to-do items to our tasks as a default, not on a job by job basis.

Practice Manager - Filter jobs by clients whose files are ready to prepare
The ability to filter whether a client has coded their file to a certain date. Filter through XPM list of jobs (eg BAS) by clients who’s file is ready to prepare.

Practice Manager | Search - Ability to Create job
To make it easier to create jobs in XPM it would be useful to have a link to create a new job once you have unsuccessfully searched to see if there is a job already set up for the client. At present you have to log out of job search then create a new job, which involves finding the client name again.

Practice Manager | Single Place to enter Time (Ad hoc or job)
Suggestion to have the ability to enter 'Ad Hoc' time in the same place you enter time for jobs - i.e. in the Timesheets screen, rather than going through the 'Global Search' screen.
You would select a client first, then select Ad Hoc Time or a job (if an active one exists).
Also, when selecting a client, it would also be handy to be able to start typing a few letters from anywhere within the client name, rather than having to type the first letter or scroll down using the picklist.
