  2. Hi Xero Team,

    It would be highly beneficial if Xero allowed users to record Capital Works Deductions directly in the Rental Schedule for Income Tax Returns (ITR). Currently, this critical aspect of rental property deductions has to be entered manually, which defeats the purpose of using accounting software to streamline and automate tax compliance.

    Including this feature would:

    • Improve accuracy and efficiency.
    • Reduce manual effort and the risk of errors.
    • Make Xero a more comprehensive tool for rental property management and tax preparation.

  3. Can Hubdoc extract the invoice reference or job reference from an invoice and add that as a job tag. Would be very useful when the invoice is on-chargeable to a project, especially when there are multiple projects/jobs on the go. E.g. building industry type jobs.

  5. Xero have announced that they are removing the ability to automatically send batch files across to Kiwibank & ASB on 16th November, in order to "focus our efforts to support areas of Xero that provide the most value for customers."

    Speaking on behalf of my clients who actively use this feature, it's of huge value to them. It automates a process that otherwise involves manually downloading a file, logging into internet banking and uploading that file. It's even better for users who don't have internet banking access, but need to set up payment batches on behalf of those that do…

  6. Losses carried forward have to be manually entered into XPM tax each year. It would be great if the information flowed through automatically from the tax return so that all we have to do is confirm it matches the IRD assessment. At a minimum it would be great if the losses to carry forward figure from 2023 automatically rolled forward to 2024 once it has been confirmed.

I'd like a dashboard showing all clients listed under our organization with all banking details as well as in the moment bank feed status (ie: is the bank feed active, does it needs to be refreshed, has it dropped). This would enable those that have many clients under their organization to work smarter to fix bank feeds as soon as they're down without delays.

  10. When invoicing a job for a client that has a Billing Client I would like to able to sometimes invoice the Job Client instead of the Billing Client. Currently if there is a Billing Client exists XPM forces you to invoice the Billing Client.

  13. Currently the prepayments page on workpapers is a permanent workpaper which brings forward all of the prior year entries every year. This means that historic prepayments carry through. Currently they can't be deleted which leads to a cluttered workpaper. It would be great if line items that are no longer needed could be deleted. As per the file attached - it would be ideal if the nil rows could all be deleted.

  14. ATO prefilling summary to include column displaying relevant Tax Return Label next to prefill information

    Example (Individual Tax Return - Bank Interest)
    Gross Interest $x,*** Label 10L

    Example (Managed Funds Distributions)
    Non primary production income amount $x,*** Label 13U

    Currently the ATO prefilling summary does not show the Tax Return Label which information will be prefilled into. Inclusion of Labels will make reconciliation between prefilling and Tax Return easier.

  16. If you send an email from the XPM Job it automatically adds the details as per the "name" field of the job as the subject in the email.

    Please add the name of the client after the insertion of the "job name" field of the job in the subject.
    If I do have a client with multiple entities, it can be confusing for the client as he does not know for which entity the mail is - he only sees the job number and the job description. If you look in history of your mails you can then also search…

  18. We would love a client report showing the Industry as it is in the Xero Organisation Settings.

    Currently the report gives the Main Industry classification but not the Sub Category.

    For Example the HQ report would show a company industry is Construction but actually the company provides Electrical Services and there is no report to get this detail of all the clients.

  19. Allow users to add columns for Partner, Manager, Client Group, Xero file type and subscription owner.
    We have staff that work for a particular Partner's clients. It would be great to be able to filter the client list by all of the above information so that they can be easily identified for updating new staff permissions.

  20. Report codes that are in the For Review category need a button so after changing the ones that need changing the rest can be marked as reviewed. Currently it looks like you have to click into each one to review it and no-one is going to have time do that when you can see most of them dont need changing.

    Its always an extra click to view all the report codes as Xero defaults you the the codes that are For Review. If they have all been reviewed we wouldnt have to do an extra click each time we want…
