  1. It would be great to have a way to setup Tax rate 2 as a default tax on all the tasks so that we don't have to click on every task and select it in the dropdown menu every time we create an invoice. There are 2 taxes that apply to all of our services here in Québec, so Tax 2 is not optional.

  2. I have recently started switching clients to the New BAS Experience - Full BAS.
    I run the Activity Statement and export it so I can check the "Transactions by Tax Rate" and make changes.
    I have noticed that when I click back on the "Summary" tab, the report does not automatically update (it does under previous BAS experience) and there is also no "Update" or "Refresh" button.
    The only way to get the report to update is to hit the refresh on the web browser.
    This is another case of removing functionality.

  3. Opportunity to provide explanations for significant changes in balances (specifically profit and loss items):

    • It would be useful if the PNL review section of Xero Workpapers had an area to incorporate commentary on significant variances or that a balance is not material and therefore no further work on the balance has been performed.
    • This would add value in that you won't have to upload separate documents for each profit and loss line item

  4. In the Transfers screen, Need a filter option on the Return State column to save having to move from page to page of results to find all the Assessed ones (even after having sorted by that column)

  5. I would like to be able to send a bank/xero link to connect the AMEX credit card feeds or other banks that enable linking via internet banking, rather than having to add the client as a user in Xero first to be able to connect bank feeds via a link. This seems to complicate the signing of completed financials and tax returns sent from xero to the client for signature. It asks them to login (when their email is connected with a Xero account just so they could link internet banking) and many clients are finding it frustrating.

Recent new requirements from the ATO mean that businesses have to nominate new BAS and tax agents via ATO Online Services for Business, before the Agent can add them on their end (on ATO Client Services for Agents). This requires the tax payer to have set up MyGovID, gone into RAM and log into ATO Online Services for Business. The majority of clients have no idea how to do any of this. It would be good, if there was a way that they could nominate the Agent from Xero instead. Perhaps the linking of the Xero file to the ATO…

  8. Can we dumb it down for our clients when it comes to selecting the account code. When creating an invoice or a purchase bill we should not be able to code it to Accounts Receivable or Accounts Payable. When posting directly to Xero it gives you an error but when someone is posting to BILL or QuickBooks it continues to let it go through. Then when BILL syncs with Xero it causes a syncing error. This is also an issue with the bank accounts being select as the account code. Why can we just remove bank accounts, AR and AP…

  9. When 'ignoring' tax notices (letters) and adding a note this is only available to be viewed while the date is available in the payment tab. It would be handy to have the Tax History including the body of the note be available in the Statement tab when the amount is ignored as it is when amount changes.

    Looks like your idea my have been cut off here, Oliver - Is there any more detail you'd like to share with this? While the Income by Contact report will show totals, you can easily click on an amount which will drill down to the contact activity for that period.


  14. Xero gave us a tax estimate for deceased estates (but only within the first three years...), and on my very first trial of this new feature ran into a roadblock - I cannot find anywhere to input the PAYG Instalments paid by the deceased estate, therefore the estimate is inaccurate.

  15. A number of our clients simply use hubdoc as a filing system as publishing to Xero is not as simple as they would like.
    So we maintain their Hubdoc accounts, we update the document type and archive. It would savea huge amount of time if we could bulk edit and bulk archive rather than having to do this one document at a time.

  16. We leverage the Income Tax Client Report within XPM, and report on lodgements leveraging this data. It would be great if there was the ability to schedule the Tax Agent Request to the ATO for refreshed data - e.g. once per week, so that the reporting we have is automatically refreshed periodically and this doesn't rely on a person refreshing the data manually.

  19. I would like to have hubdoc periodically log in to our supplier's account( Fedex, Amazon, Upwork, UPS etc) and fetch the invoices automatically.

    Dext Prepare already does that so I can see Xero loosing thousands of dollars by relying on third party software. I guess let's start with the most popular suppliers and take it from there. This can be an add on to Hubdoc for a bit extra and happy to pay as long as it is comparable in price to other software packages. That would greatly automated our accounts.

  20. I would like to suggest that we can adjust the Pay Dates when processing payroll. When a staff member is terminated in the middle of a pay period, we cannot adjust the pay dates. As we need to file STP when the payroll is paid to staff, this does not work when the pay dates are automatic in Xero.

    Can this be looked at.
