  1. We are in the process of checking all Client details in XPM to ensure they are all complete and up to date. One of the checks that we were doing was to ensure that we had the NZBN numbers of clients recorded. However this appears to be the only client field that you are unable to select when creating a custom report!

    Hi everyone, appreciate the feedback we've received since my previous updates and apologies for any confusion caused.

    Checking back in with our product teams around this, there is a current issue that means some NZ practices are unable to add Business Number to their custom reports atm. This is something we intend to rectify and I'll move the idea back to Under review for now, and as soon as there are further updates on it, we'll share with you here.

    Highlight/Bold the Client name for each entry.
    Make a hyperlink for.
    When reviewing timesheets is easier to think in terms of the client than the job name.

  4. Ability to bulk Accept Subscription Transfers- when accepting transfers or converting clients in bulk from QBO or QBD the ability to bulk accept the organization under the firm would save significant amount of time.

  5. Can you create a way that when we send out a Tax Return to be signed in Practice manager, Xero sends a notification to the admin team at the same time so they can create an invoice.

  6. Enable reporting / export for the 'Fee from Refund' field under Tax under the Tax and Company section in clients.

    The other fields in the ax and Company section are available in the Client & Contact Report Builder, however this field is overlooked. I understand that there is a 3rd party request to have this field included in the Client API.

  7. It would be really helpful if there was a way of adding a notification dot on the "failed" tab in Hubdocs to alert the user to any documents that have not been published. We have often had documents that have failed but forget to look on the failed tab. A reminder dot would be so helpful and probably quite easy to install into the programme. Is this possible please?

  9. PAYG Instalments Estimates pre-ticked

    The Print PAYG Instalments payable on the individual tax return Estimate page defaults as "No". This needs to be manually turned on, and even if the client has generated instalments it will not appear on the tax return unless manually selected. Preparers and reviewers may miss this. If it was set on as default then it would not be missed.

  10. Currently Xero pulls data from the connected ledger into Xero tax – it’s great! But its pulls the account name, when we’re often only changing the reporting name so as not to mess with a clients system.
    Would be beneficial if Xero tax pulled the reporting name rather than the account name through for linked accounts. Would make things more consistent between financials & tax return.

  11. Ability to transfer tax return link to other jobs. we have created a tax return in the wrong job or want to transfer the return to another job. Would be great if the hot link can be disconnected and reconnected to a different job.

    Hi community, thanks for your interest on this. While being able to move a Tax Return to another job is something we may look to do later, it's not in the near term plans. For now, we'll continue to collect and monitor your feedback, and share if there's any progress.

  12. We need the ability to add multiple email addresses for a client. Not extra Contacts, but the main email address for a client. Currently you can only enter one email address, this is the address that tax payment letters (for example) are automatically sent to. However, some clients want these to go to more than one address. We have to keep a separate spread sheet and our Tax administrator needs to manually send tax payment letters to those clients.

    Thanks for your involvement and sharing your interest in adding multiple email addresses for a client in Practice Manager with us here.

    This idea has been reviewed by our product team however with other priorities right now we don't have immediate plans for developing this capability. If there's any movement or news we'll definitely share with you all, here.

  13. Capital gains tax worksheet - where an capital assets is owned by more than one person say husband and wife 50:50. If the worksheet has been prepared for one taxpayer, have an option to have this copied/ transferred to the other taxpayer similar to rent schedule.

    For property generally there could be just one item but for shares there may be huge number of CGT events.

  14. In Xero Tax when we save the completed tax return for the client as PDF for email, is there an option to hide other sensitive information in addition to the TFN, such as date of birth, address and bank details.

  16. Run a report that will show all notes added by a client.

    E.g
    - Client A reviews their xero, and realises the cost centre is incorrect and adds a note (not the description)
    - Manager is reviewing the bookkeeping and wants the bookkeeper to reallocate items and attaches notes to the reports.

    These notes cant currently be ran on a single report.

  17. Hubdoc date format recognition is set at a global level, meaning when it processes invoices for US date formats, it can get it very wrong (e.g. 01-09-23 is interpreted as 9th Jan 2023 when it should in fact be 1st Sep 2023).

    This makes automating the process impossible and requires manual checking and adjustment of the date on all US date format documents before submitting to Xero. It can also lead to mistakes and significant additional time to rectify errors when reconciling.

  18. Where clients are subscribers to their own Xero but add an adviser who is linked to a Xero partner practice, it would be useful if there was an option for them to choose to give the practice as a whole access so that if, eg, their contact leaves, the practice administrator can give access to their new contact as long as they are Partner Staff.

  20. Have Xero automatically set the flat rate percentage to claim the 1% discount for the first year of registration. This would save time and human error is having to make a manual adjustment.
