Sales - Export invoice totals due
When you export invoices, it gives you multiple lines for any invoice which has more than one line. It is therefore not possible to easily total up the amounts due because some invoices are on there multiple times meaning the values are overstated.
Hi Stewart, is there a way you see the export being more helpful for you. For example would you be looking for a summary of each invoice? The Receivable Summary and Detail reports maybe useful for this sort of view and can be exported.

This is a helpful explanation of the export issue and the challenge with multiple invoice lines. For anyone taking a break or looking at general information online, https://applebeesmenuu.com/ is a simple resource to browse Applebee’s menu options and meal choices in an organized way

When exporting invoices, each invoice with multiple line items appears as separate lines, making it difficult to accurately total the amounts due since invoices are effectively counted multiple times and the totals appear overstated. A practical solution is to use tools that help aggregate or cross-check your data efficiently, ensuring accurate financial reporting. For example, similar to how online calculators like this tilavuusmuunnin https://laskins.fi/tilavuusmuunnin/ simplify unit conversions, specialized invoice tools can streamline the process of summing invoice totals correctly, avoiding errors caused by repeated entries.

When exporting sales invoices, you may notice that invoices with multiple line items appear on separate lines, which can make it tricky to calculate the total amount due accurately, as some invoices are counted more than once, leading to overstated totals. A practical approach is to consolidate the invoice lines by invoice number before summing the amounts, ensuring each invoice is counted only once. This method helps maintain accuracy in reporting and simplifies financial tracking. For example, just like checking detailed menus on sites like Popeyes Menu https://popeyesmenuu.com/ to see all items clearly without duplication, consolidating invoice data gives a clear and precise total.

Hi, I'm not sure where these reports are?
I just want to be able to have a report where each invoice has 1 summary line of amount of invoice and amount owing, rather than it itemising each line on the invoice, which then means if you're trying to get totals it duplicates the total amounts meaning that the total is wrong.

I want to view a list of the invoices (with their Totals) by customers. I can look at invoices within Xero, and would like to me able to export what I see on the screen. Not all the additional information (expecially not the line item rows.
I just want the totals.
