Invoice List view - Upload invoices (like you can with bills)
Having the ability to upload invoices in the same manner as the recently introduced bill upload would be great addition for those users who run industry POS software that generates sales their invoices and stock and ordering management.
Hi team, we appreciate interest and the detail you've shared on how being able to upload invoices similar to bills would be valuable to your business.
While not the exact same feature I'd like to highlight our Smart Document Capture that may solve your needs.
Smart document capture will analyse and suggest transactions for your uploaded files, and enables you to select the type of transaction it creates. 🙂 It'd be great to get your feedback if this addresses your use case, here.

Our business creates our own invoices in Excel then manually enters the PDFs to Xero.
It would be useful to have an 'Upload Invoice PDF' or 'Upload invoices' feature identical to the 'Upload bills' feature when creating a bill. Including uploading multiple invoices.
Auto-filling things like invoice number, contact, date, due date, price, etc. However, it needs to be identical to the 'Upload bills' feature as I don't want it to even try uploading multiple rows/lines trying to imitate our excel generated pdf invoice.
If this feature is not possible, the ability to add a file before adding a contact (similar to the old invoicing framework) would be much appreciated. Not being able to add the pdf file first and view it onscreen, and soon afterwards add the contact and other details impacts my workflow and is insanely inconvenient.
I saw other product ideas suggesting the ability to add a file before adding a contact in New Invoicing get rejected for whatever reason, so adding an 'Upload invoices' feature would hopefully eliminate the need to add the file first (at least for our business) as Xero would be able to get the contact name from the uploaded pdf file and link it back to already established contacts / create new a new contact if needed.

It would be great if you could drag and drop files directly from an email (currently not working for me), and that information populated the billing fields too, to save you from entering all the information.
