  1. I would very much like to start using e-invoicing to send my invoices to clients. However, I bulk invoice (check in Draft / Approve / and then bulk email). So until it's possible to determine who can receive e-invoices, and to do that in a bulk action, I will need to stick with the old way. Sending 100s of invoices on one day of the month, it's just too slow to have to email them individually.

  2. When using the invoicing system in Xero, there is no ability to move columns around. It would make my workflow much easier if I could enter quantity first, followed by product code, as this matches the standard ordering format in our industry. When customers place orders, they typically specify the quantity first and then the product size or code.

    In our previous system, we were able to click and drag columns into any order (similar to how line items can currently be rearranged in Xero). However, with the current fixed column layout in Xero, I often find myself writing phone…

    We understand why having the ability to customise invoice column order could make invoicing workflows easier, especially for teams that process a lot of invoices or follow a specific data entry process.

    This idea is suggesting the ability to rearrange invoice columns directly within the invoice screen, allowing businesses to set up the layout in a way that better suits their workflow.

    We’ll continue to track feedback and interest around more flexible invoice layouts.

  4. When on pretty much any view, sometimes you just need to copy an invoice number (or a few).

    Now, when you click on a line, it goes to the invoice.

    Please give an option to disable the click to go to invoice/credit/bill, and allow us to click on a line to highlight/copy as right now it gets annoying - you have to click, but then press escape quickly enough, or, download as a CSV which just takes too long.

    I've checked the Invoices and Bills pages, and see much the same sort of behaviour. For example, when trying to highlight an invoice number in the Number column, or the Reference column for Bills, it tends to take you into the transaction.

  5. When uploading photos to an invoice (on mobile which is what I have to use for invoicing), it only allows one upload at a time. Some invoices I am uploading up to 10-20 photos which adds a lot of time compared to if I could simply select all of the photos on camera roll.

    The ability to select multiple photos at once for uploading to invoices would be a huge time saver! Many clients/organisations require before and after photos of the work completed. I am sure many other Xero users would find incredible value in the option to select multiple…

  6. Currently when invoice reminders is turned on by the client, the default address is for the reply to emails seems to be the Subscriber's email. Would be good if it was the email of the logged in user by default.

  7. Can you please get rid of that annoying image that appears when I'm typing in a new contact on a sales invoice. As I'm typing the image is flashing away on each keystroke and giving me a headache!

    Thanks for sharing your idea Jeanette! Appreciate that the contact suggestion popping up at each keystroke can be difficult to navigate and confusing.   8. Ability to turn off / toggle the warning for

    "The invoice was raised after the payment you are reconciling to"

    Alot of my invoices are dated after the payment date for whatever reason. It would be create to have a choice whether to receive this warning or not.

    Hi Jadé, when you say sales representative can I just check how is this information currently being entered in Xero? For example have you set up a tracking category to track the sales representative, or would you be wanting this information from the user that created the invoice? Will be helpful when sharing your feedback with the team.

  10. Can no longer add an expected payment date when viewing an invoice, you now have to go to the 'awaiting payment' section of invoices. Meaning more steps involved and lost functionality.

  12. We had a NEW customer that was added with no email address. This meant than when the invoice reminder email was meant to be sent the email didn't go. The system should alert you this field is empty as a lot of Xero communication is done through email.

    The only way I noticed this was in the Sales > Invoices > Awaiting Payment list there was a small 'Email missing' message.

    Would be better if this was in red letters to draw attention as there is currently no manual way to re-send the email that didn't go. (I have made…

  13. When copying an invoice, users can now edit the copied version, and all information from the original invoice automatically carries over. To make this process more efficient, it would be helpful to add a “Clear All” button for the quantity column. This would allow users to reset all quantities at once instead of having to manually change each line item to zero before entering new quantities.

    Thanks for reaching out with this suggestion 🙂 I can see how being able to copy an invoice or bill to a draft and then clear all quantities in one go could make this workflow much quicker and easier.

    At this stage, we don’t have a confirmed timeline or feature announcement to share for that specific functionality. What I can confirm is that this has now been moved to gaining support.

    While it isn’t a confirmation that the feature will be developed, it does help show there is customer demand for it.

    For now, quantities would still need to be adjusted manually after copying, but we do appreciate you taking the time to raise this

  14. We import our data for invoicing and only the customer name/contact is in the file. When emailing out the invoices after import, we use the "Awaiting Payment" screen but unable to see if there any new customers so we have to review the "Statements" tab beforehand. This will save time and effiencies within our company.

    Perhaps, the screen columns we are all wanting could be added but with a X box so columns could be hidden if not needed, therefore collating a few thoughts at once ?

  15. Currently, when you raise an invoice in a foreign currency it will take the exchange rate as of that hour. If you later change the due date of the invoice, the exchange rate used to convert will change from the hour you raised the invoice, to the closing exchange rate on that day. This causes an issue for reporting where we have reported a revenue figure for a previous month. The invoice on a due date has been changed and therefore the revenue recognised in a previous month has changed. This makes our reports incorrect and could cause issues if…

  16. Not a massive one, but would eliminate a really annoying thing.
    On an invoice screen in the reference box, when typing any data that exceeds the box, the text doesn't follow outside that window. This then makes you mouse click into that box and arrow across to confirm what you have typed was in actual fact correct.
    PLEASE, can something be done about this????

    We'll get a sense of the community interesst in this here. While we don't have any plans around this at present I'll share if there's any news.

  17. Regarding the Invoice interface on the Sent Column, perhaps can Xero make it into two instead? One is for the Validated E-Invoicing & the other one is for customer. The reason is now, when we send to MyInvoice, every thing has become "viewed" instead. So now I don't know whether my customer did view or not.

    I also suggest the MyInvoice under the Sent column, once the e-invoice validated, can it changed to "validated" instead of "viewed"? Like that we do not need to open another tab at the History and Notes to look up for it.

    Hi team, we appreciate your feedback here. Very soon we'll be releasing a dashboard for e-invoicing in Malaysia that'll help with your needs here.

    It'll highlight the e-invoicing status for each transactions, and show where data is missing, helping to generate, validate and submit consolidated e-invoices. I'll be back to confirm once this is live to you all. Thanks

  18. Whilst purchase credit notes can be assigned to Projects, a Sales Credit Note can't be raised from Projects in the same way that a Sales Invoice can from Tasks and Expenses. Anegative invoice can't be created - the error message "The invoice total cannot be less than zero." appears.

    Therefore, Sales Credit notes don't automatically link to Project costs and get marked as "invoiced".

    This direct linking needs to be added.

  20. I have seen there is already a thread for this in Repeating Bills, but we recently streamlined our product codes and archived the old ones.

    However, Xero is still showing all the achieved codes when you create or update a repeating! This does not happen with raising normal invoices. I can see this causing errors in the future and am surprised at the oversight by Xero.
